I feel better now thanks !

Then they are sadly misguided
-
Pure mischief making in my view. Divide and rule !
-
And so were countless others who were not anything to do with SISA. They are not great sages of our time - They just like to make mischief and are therefore wholly destructive and not constructive.
-
No, nay, never
-
And here we are again ! I for one amongst countless others am quite happy for the Liebherr family to do as they seem fit, and also I do not ( as do countless others too) want Cortese's position re-assessed now either.
-
No they would'nt ! You must be one of the SISA few - Assuming what you say is gospel when the overwhelming majority do not want to be associated with such drivel.
-
But there is not enough of them to form a circle !!
-
It would be a relief if they only spoke - Usually its Tubthump a load of ideological drivel.
-
They have obviously been listening too much to Bob Crow !

Fans deserve transparancy on the reasons for pardews dismissal!

And we all hope that Adkins can do now what Pardew clearly did not do pre-season. -
I still think that Pardew failed to prepare the squad fully and propoerly over the summer and perhaps most importantly, failed to motivate and lead them correctly. Draw from Blackpool's example if you like - Their summer was filled with woe: Boardroom upheavel, inability to sign or even retain some of the players they wanted. But why then have they started the season so well - In short the influence of the manager Ian Holloway! I firmly beleive that how a team turns up for the start of any season is a reflection of the job the manager has done pre-season. What Holloway has done at Blackpool seems very different to what Pardew did at Saints.

Oh good another thread replaying the same old song found on countless other threads ! Read some of the more enlightened posts on there and you will find the answer to your questions. -
Time to accept that it is unlikely we will go up

Agree that it was daylight robbery by Plymouth in that they only had one shot and scored from it, but once they had done so and then parked the bus, we had absolutely no idea how to break that down. Lots of huf and puff but persistent lumped up long balls to Barnard and Connolly were easily won by the Plymouth centre backs, and although they never troubled our keeper, we never really troubled theirs either beyond a Lallana and Puncheon shot. Lallana was the only piece of quality we had that day who at least tried to unlock the defence, and he was a 60th minute sub. We offered little else. I honestly think (with a little hindsight but by no means all) that Pardew did not possess enough tactical acumen to change a game, and that together with an increasingly apparant "lazy summer", has contributed to this situation. The good thing is that we are only half a dozen games into this season, so its not all over yet but I hope that Nigel does possess all the ability we think and hope he has! Otherwise Delldays is right. -
I have no gripes against Cortese... Just thought I would mention it....
-
Great - Lets really roll back the years and sign Fattie Foulkes as our new goalkeeper.
-
Totally agree - Really do ot want to know. But good to hear of a successful evening for a very worthy cause.

Honest, Intelligent, Hardworking, Enthusiastic, and for once it seems that we have a good communicator as our manager. I think this guy will do us proud !

Great post ! I recall being underwhelmed when the high profile Souness left us to be replaced with the very low profile Dave Jones! How wrong I was - Jonesy did really, really well with us and has kept doing well too! Promising managers need to be given the opportunity to step up and show what they can do, and we are giving Nigel that opportunity here and we should back him. I bet Stoke are pleased they gave Pulis the chance as one example...
-
Sincere condolences on your sad loss.

I like his words. Much better than the bland drivel spouted off by the likes of gormless George and latterly by AP. He's got to deliver on his words of course, but nought wrong with him publically laying out his vision - The players will at least know what to expect now.
-
Only by the likes of moaning minnies like you! Most seem to accept the view that it was a necessary evil forced upon him by something Pardew had said or done! Nobody was indispensible let alone Pardew, and I echo Beatlesaints examples posted above - Especially how we struggled to break down very poor opposition like Plymouth and Orient with AP at the helm. We move on with Nigel - Appointed by Nicola from a large list of applicants, and a good choice too.

Nothing more undignified than people who cheat the game, cheat the taxman, cheat charities and even cheat their own punters.. Think we will keep this going for a while yet if you dont mind !

I remember that game well and agree with your assessment.
