  1. And who might they be? Would they have the same resources as the Liebherr family?
  2. So what if there was no plan B for example, and hypothetically speaking perhaps... Pardew had breached his contract by talking to Villa without permission - And Cortese found out about afterwards? Reckon that might be a good reason to fire him in 10 minutes don't you agree?
  3. I repeat from earlier - What if it was Pardews fault that he got himself sacked and Cortese was doing his correct job as a CEO by moving him out? Do you know for sure it is all Corteses fault ?? No - I did'nt think so.. May I suggest that until you and others do, you put down the pitchforks and burning torches !
  4. Yes Rupert Lowe!
  5. Right on !
  6. Then our expensively assembled squad need to get their thumbs out of their collective arses and play for their shirt - And their wages!!
  7. And what if it was Pardew's own fault that he got himself dismissed ? Things are clearly pointing to a disgruntled camp promulgated by Pardew that led Cortese to this decision. Jeez I hope some of you are'nt 100 metre runners or you would get disqualified every race for false starts !!
  8. Agree with you too...
  9. Not specified so I reckon from wherever
  10. I will eat my neighbours pergola if Hart is appointed as our manager. There are just too many other options, most of them better who would be selected ahead of him.
  11. Also implied by himself and Merrington that "inter-personal differences at the training ground" was contributory and not for results reasons. Also that all current "alternative manager" rumours have no foundation at all - appointment likely to take a week
  12. I buy this ! Suggestions of dis-harmony in the coaching set-up seem to be gathering apace, and while it is far to speculative to assume that AP was on the verge of effectively "losing the dressing room" there are clearly some suggestions of player unrest that might have forced NC's hand. Whatever, the more I think about this the better this action by NC appears to be. Anyone think Mowbray would be a good choice for us - His style of football would seem to fit with NC's vision of "promotion in style".
  13. With a poor side with no money he took them to a mid table finish in his first season, and with a poorer side with even less money he kept them up ! He might not have been the porn barons cup of tea ( lets face it Avram will keep their tills ticking over), but he did a decent job with a bad hand of cards! On top of that he was an erudite, decent man with a fantastic talent to teach. He would be a good thing in my eyes I have to say
  14. Good spot ! certainly would fit the playing style vision and is a good manager to boot
  15. But Alps has already identified the key difference between the two of them. NC wants football success - Ruperts chief driver was PLC success
  16. Appears that Pards was not or indeed could not fit in with the system, let alone persuade NC that he was the man to deliver automatic promotion. If so, NC was absolutely right to lance the boil now rather than let it run and fester over a prolonged period of time.
  17. It will be incumbent on the new manager to "manage" NC's expectations correctly. As long as he retains NC's confidence that the objectives are on track then he won't have a problem. This is no different a situation to any well paid managerial role in any industry. Perform and deliver or step aside for somebody who can ! As for loyalty - That went out of the game when MLT retired
  18. NC's objectives are very clear and well publicised. Any manager coming into the club will know these and take the job with this in mind. If they deliver then good - Objective met! If they don't then they will go the same way as Pards..
  19. Very often, appointments don't always turn out the way the CV indicates they should! Senor Capello arrived with an excellent track history to almost universal acclaim- But he has not turned out the right man for the job has he?
  20. Thanks Pards! Good luck in the future
  21. I support this view too. Would not be surprised to see Zola turn up at the training ground by the end of the week
  22. And you think a business strategy should be built around the views of the bookies????!!!! Thank god Cortese does not think the same.
  23. Really? I was'nt convinced and neither of course was NC. I take it that your rather tantrum like stand will soon subside should a new manager with substance come in - And take us to promotion in style !
  24. Simple - The CEO whose aims and objectives are very well known, does not beleive that he has the right man in place to deliver them. He has acted to bring in somebody else who he beleives can deliver. No point in stability if it does not yield the right end result.
