Appoint a better manager perhaps And No that does'nt mean Glenda either !
-
Agree with all of that ! Prepare for a big name I think, and in terms of big names Zola is not half bad!
-
First point is not correct as this was cleaqrly not a knee jerk decision but has been in the offing for sometime. The second point in bold is a wild and if I might say so a very disrespectful opinion towards the late owner who ensured we have a future as a club. While I am surprised at the timing of this decision, NC clearly does not think that Pardew is up to the task in taking us up and has chosen to act now, rather than later! We will see who his replacement is and we can of course judge him on that, but for now I am happy to still trust NC! Nevertheless, Thankyou Pards and Wally for the JPT and the decent ride, and all the best for the future.

I think that unlike Idiot Boy George who seemed to have no player acquisition plan at all ( and recruited bl00dy badly to boot), Pardew can count on his transfer acumen as being one of his strengths and to that end I am personally happy to wait and see what further rabbits come out of his hat. Lets face it, Guly had not appeared on the radar until just before he was officially announced and there may be 1 or 2 more like him in the pipeline. No need to panic yet IMO

Martin is a very focussed young lad who has all the raw materials to be a great asset to us. I think he is ready for regular selection now and in my view, should be selected ahead of Jaidi.

They were original applicant Cities I beleive The Caravan Crew pulled out last year when it became clear that Potty by the Sea was all the pipedream of a Storrietelling blithering idiot !
-
And absolutely right too!
-
Understand that, but it seems that should our bid be successful then they will be looking at various suitable provincial stadiums to host knockout games - And we seem to be high on the list for a stadium south of London. Certainly we have overtaken the aspirations of the crew at Krap Nottarf
-
I cannot see that this has been posted before (apologies if it has), but I had no idea that our stadium was listed as a potential 2018 world cup stadium. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBgQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.2018england.co.uk%2F2018-stadiums.html&ei=QPhzTP2aI4yOjAeE2a3yCA&usg=AFQjCNHbYdEVSsOkU6YJXhuGcZcvbIlFtA Can't see any real competition to us in the South of England and FA money to help increase the capacity and update the fixtures and fittings will be no bad thing either

An absolutely cracking read! "Blame it on everything but the boogie" .... ROFL!

A win against any premier league side regardless of the team they field will be a confidence boost... Play to win and selct the side to win

Official Statement from Cortese about future
Foxstone replied to Give it to Ron's topic in The Saints
Big difference here SOG Lowe did not save us from oblivion when he came into the club but Cortese (by way of his persuading Markus) did ! Of course he is not above criticism but I would certainly cut him considerably more slack than any owner/CEO/Director/idiot that has presided over us for many, many years -
I'm happy to give the guy a chance to show us what he can do ! He might be a diamond or he might be a turd - Either way the loan arrangement seems to be the most sensible method to decide which, without shackling ourself to a long terms commitment should he turn out to be the latter.
-
You are just a pizz taking little shytehawk are'nt you ! It strikes me as though you have no respect for anybody or anything ! Keep your smart comments for school in future!
-
Agree with all of this post but chiefly the line emboldened ! He chose us to benefit from his integrity, vision and benevolence and we survived and thrived as a result. He was clearly a kind and warm gentleman too as many have pointed out on the numerous tributes to him. 90 odd football clubs around England would walk over broken glass to have an owner as good as Markus Liebherr ! Anybody doubt that just ask Mero, Mack or even Corpy ! So yes, many of us have every right to not only feel gratitude but immense sadness in his passing. WIFM

Cotterill interviewed by Wave 105 and sent sincere condolences on the passing of Markus Fair play to him for that

Great post Frank and quite right too.. It is easy for all of us to suggest what we think should be done to honour his memory, but his family must be consulted and give their approval. But we know the one thing Markus and his family would have approved of is promotion, and that must be our goal.... And dedicate it to his memory.
-
I only heard this tragic news this morning. My sincere condolences to the great mans family and friends. Markus will always be remembered as the man who rescued this great club from despair and put it back on the right track to success. Therefore a fitting, lasting memorial should be adopted by the club as a tribute to this mans integrity, passion and vision and for all he has done in such a short time for the Saints. The Markus Liebherr Stadium would certainly get my support. RIP Markus and heartfelt thanks

Northam were far too quiet during the second half last Saturday.. Shall we make amends tonight ladies and gents????
-
I agree with your second to last sentence. After all, NC after attracting so much investment to save the club is right to expect success regardless of his own personal characteristics.

Hear Hear !

A chilling reminder if one were ever needed! Cortese's actions are not giving me any sleepless nights whatsoever. It just seems to me that some posters just like "bashing the boss" whoever it is.
-
Its amazing that some have the vocal capacity to boo but not to sing !!! Whats happened to our singing ability??? We were virtually silent in the 2nd half yesterday !
-
Very disappointed with the result after a decent first half. Positives were Puncheon who looked sharp, Fonte who looks imperious and Lallana who added so much energy and creativity to the game when he came on - That lad needs to be wrapped in cotton wool as he is vital to us. Negatives was that we had no cutting edge in the absence of Ricky, Davis who's distribution is shocking ( why on eart does he take the bloody free kicks when he could'nt hit a dart board from 2 feet !!!), and that we had no idea how to break down an organised but frankly pizz poor Plymouth side in the second half. One further disappointment was us the fans - Have we forgotten how to sing????? We went one behind and were out shouted and outsung by a load of Janners for the entire second half. Still it was only game 1 and I guess Norwich lost their first match last season 7-1 at home so things are no way bad.. Yet!
