The use of the main forum by fans of other teams
Foxstone replied to Spudders's topic in Site suggestions
Over the years on this forum and its predecessors we have had some good posters from other clubs - Southend, Sunderland, Wednesday even Derby ( except some berk called RammY), and I would hate it if we were so snobbish as to not welcome their constructive and good spirited posts. By all means ban the wind up merchants but please let us keep it open to constructive posters from other clubs. -
"Club officials say they have been forced to increase prices due to the rise in VAT." Perhaps ought to read as follows... "Club officials say they have been forced to increase prices as they now need to pay VAT"

Its bad, its bad its really, really bad !!

Very sound suggestion although I fear too expensive.

One of the best central defenders in the country during his pomp, and he was wearing a Saints shirt during that time. His time at Saints was all too short but that pales into insignificance when it transpires that his life was all too short aswell. RIP big man and sincerest condolences to all his family and friends too.

It seems sad that Pimply are depriving SC's home village of an idiot !

But by not being able to use statistically robust pricing differentials to keep insurance affordable for all, then nobody wins and everybody pays more.
-
Insurance pricing was originally exempt from the gender directive because it has been proven time and time again that gender is a statistically sound and relevant pricing differential. Many companies have proven this under challenge - The UK precedent was in 1984 Pinder v Friends Provident. However, it does not suit the pinko agenda from some European "equality is all" mongers! Curses to the politicians both here and in Europe for letting it get this far.

Hartlepool 0 - 0 Saints - Post Match Reaction Thread

A game we needed to win to put pressure on those around us. Missed opportunity I'm afraid. -
If Barcelona or Arsenal scored that now, all the pundits would be purring like kittens for years. Absolute class goal

Ruhr Derby between Dortmund and Schalke takes the prize IMO.. 80,000+ crammed into the Iduna in Dortmund or 60,000 into the Veltins in Gelsenkirchen. Noise and atmosphere is deafening, beer on the terraces and each match between them is a passionate derby that must be experienced.

I can only regard this "Test Achats" case as being totally potty. The price of insurance in virtually every class will rise, and some products may become unaffordable for many. To give tou an idea: A statistically safer younger female driver will typically see her premiums rise by up to £1000 per year (40%). An increase in term life insurance premiums for women by up to 10-15% and premiums for critical illness insurance for women could rise by 12% An estimation that male annuitant income could be reduced by up to 13% per year - Or in laymens terms male private pensions will pay less. Gender has been a well defined and sound basis for insurance pricing for as long as the industry has been in operation, as strong data exists to "positively discriminate" between sexes keeping premiums affordable for all. Now because of a ridiculous piece of legislation the european population such laws are intended to protect will be all the worse off, because of some un-elected legal entity in Strasbourg.

My god we really do have some cynics who would baulk at giving the club credit for anything right now ! Risible really.. Anyway - Its a great gesture well made and congratulations to everybody who made this happen.

NC is not beyond criticism by any means, and as our current CEO that comes as part of the territory for him. However, right now he is running the club as effectively and efficiently than at any other time in my living memory and instead of looking downwards as we often did, we can look upwards instead. Therefore, I am most dismayed when a perfectly sound regime is being publically undermined by people who should perhaps know better given their attachment and love towards the club, and the only reason I can think of is their ego's have not been sufficiently massaged by the new regime. This is not blinkered by the way, but are the genuine feelings of a fan who has seen tinpot regimes come and go over the past umpteen years, and is now wholly refreshed by seeing somebody in charge with a strategy I buy into.

And there ladies and gentlemen - We have it in a nutshell! I just love the work Cortese is doing at our club, and can for the first time in a long time see the potential we can reach with his hand on the tiller. As we know he is not looking for us to mark time, he has a realistic vision for us to be at the top table once again. It therefore grieves me to see and hear some of our greatest ever club stalwarts seek to openly embarrass and undermine him so publically, and only for the reason that their own egos are at least as big as or maybe even bigger than his. They might want an "Old boys club" running the Saints but none of them have the financial means or even strategy to do it - Cortese has! They all profess to love the club ( and I don't doubt for one moment they do), but for the love of christ stop the media sniping that is threatening to undermine a sound regime that has overseen the saving and return to health of our club. The club is bigger than anybody - And its the here and now that counts.

I hope this move is the spur for both these lads to push on. They are talented enough and still young enough to forge a decent career for themselves Good luck to them

Either that or we made them look like a load of dipsy doodles when the press were trying to sell AOC on our behalf to the likes of the Arse - And we told all comers to stump up or feck off ! -
Its gone far too far.. Offensive behaviour and language that is meant to hurt is one thing and of course it should be rightly condemned, but it is also a vehicle for "ne'r do wells' to leap on a a bandwagon and contribute more heavily to this "wet nurse and litigious society" that sadly pervades this country nowadays.

Think somebody might want to tell him that he will be wasting his time ! Slasher will be out of reach and out of the country, Al Fahim has'nt a pot to **** in anyway and the other one is a mannequin!
