NC is going for promotion this season, isnt he ?
Foxstone replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
He sure is ! No messing about with this guy - He has the plan and has invested a lot of capital in achieving it.. Pretty exciting times really. -
This has all the hallmarks of a disgruntled SISU "ranter against the regime" who has nothing to be disgruntled about but needs to rant against the regime anyway !! It shows how shallow and idiotic the argument when the poster mentions that not a lot of money has been spent this summer! How idiotic can you get ?? We have tied the majority of our key players into long term contracts, signed an England U21 international and 2 other players who are better than what we already had - And took Arsenal to the cleaners on AOC. We are one of the strongest outfits in the league, financially secure, well run and well managed. We are in the best shape we have been in for a long time! Yet this gut harks back to posey Pardew amongst others... Viva La Revolution Citizen !
-
I recall him taking ( and scoring) some very accomplished free kicks when Burnley first signed him. Good left foot and forward thinking player. Will enhance what we already have very nicely indeed. Welcome aboard Danny..

In his memory, I'll lift a glass to Markus tomorrow. Always a Saint

Personally I would like to see a "big house" built on Rockall or some other wild and remote place in the North Atlantic, and all these little rats can be housed there at her majesties pleasure to show them what austerity is really like! Sorry if I sound a bit trite, but I'm freeking ****ed off with us looking for reasons why these little gits are doing what they are doing ! This country has to toughen up or mobs like this will end up ruling.

No it has'nt decreased at all... He gets a great reception anywhere down here - I was having lunch at the Chilworth Arms when he walked in with his good lady and several diners (including me) warmly acknowledged him.
-
A truly magnificent analogy !

Well if it was going to happen I am glad that it has happened on our terms. I wish the lad well and trust he will never forget that it was the Saints who nurtured him and gave him the opportunities he has. In NC we trust.
-
A big game for the lad to be thrust into the limelight and he did OK - He will get better and as aothers have said, it is good that a local lad has forced his way through.
-
We were honestly too good for Leeds today - We were well drilled, sharp, incisive and worked very hard. Our goals were well created and superbly taken, and other than one or 2 incidents and a penalty that never was, never looked in trouble. Job well done by NA and the lads today - Very happy man tonight

Cott the Clot will have to ring the changes away from home - W******d on the wing perhaps !
-
Was it Tony Godden?
-
Last season I could not see past Boro, Cardiff and Leicester then, but Norwich and Swansea both showed what a well drilled/Together club can achieve. While I agree that we will probably just fall a few points short, I am optimistic that we will be challenging for the play-offs at least

Perhaps a bit more mainstream but the Pet Shop Boys version of Always on my Mind completely outshone Presley's, and Fine Young Cannibals version of Suspicious Minds was also much better than the original.
-
Springsteen is akin to a god in my eyes, but Patti Smith's version of "Because the Night" was even better than his...
-
Benny Hill was a comedy genius - Loved him !

MovedTo the area from Norfolk 20 years or so ago.. My Dad is a Norwich fan but despite going to Carrow Road several times I never "supported them as a fan" - Rugby was my first love anyway ! After I moved to the area, an early colleague had ST's at the Dell and he took me a few times. What brought me into the arms of The Saints was the passionate and loud Dell crowd so close to the pitch - And a guy called Le Tissier was a joy to watch.
-
I agree with this. Remember also wondering why we even bothered to sign Fernandes too, but he then proved me wrong for a couple of really good seasons. How about WGS though ???

Think Sequoia was Hoos SaintMarc was certainly Mikey "COYR" !

Bloody Hell they appear to possess the Pompey brain cell today !
