Nail on head here. All about getting the replacements right and further depth so we don't have to see Lyanco / Perraud (or Bree for that matter) at CB, Djenepo and Mara in our starting XI - appreciating we do have more depth in wide areas than up top... and also last night shows the frightening lack of depth in the middle of the pitch without JWP, Lavia and Smallbone in the XI - need to replace the aforementioned 2 very well when they go in the next 7 days or so... over to you Mr Wilcox!

Can’t say I’m surprised by the result… this is mostly the same group of shit that struggled past Wednesday, Lincoln, Blackpool and lost to Grimsby in the cups last season. Further evidence (as if it was needed!) that our “second XI” is just as awful even with some new kids thrown into the deep end. McCarthy, Lyanco, Bree, Djenepo and Aribo can all fuck off. Squad “depth” abysmal all across the park.

Completely agree. Anyone that was “bored” of last nights football or compares it to anything like last season, or wants us to mix it up (aka lump it up the pitch Nathan Jones style) needs to really think back and remember how soul destroying actually watching the last 2 seasons have been. yesterday was a breath of fresh air in comparison, incredible that vast majority of these players couldn’t pass a ball between them 2.5 months ago. My only nervousness is over who we lose from tonight’s starting XI or bench before the end of the month and hope we keep it to the minimum.

Personally after that display I do not want to see Djenepo, Mara, Armstrong and Lyanco anywhere near the pitch ever again. no idea why so many fans were clamouring for Orsic, everytime he has stepped on the pitch he has looked absolute wank too. I think I have finally reached the acceptance stage where I am pretty numb to the constant shit we have to endure.

Absolutely fantastic first half performance and as said above, proper backs to wall second half but a lot of fight and togetherness in that team.
