Hamit Altintop won it with this

I thought Messi's goals against Stuttgart were better than his goal that got nominated 16 seconds and 1:08 in The award for the best disallowed goal had to be in the Argentina-Spain game when Messi beat 2-3 players and split the Spanish defence in two with a delicious through ball to Aguero, who tucked it neatly into the corner. Unfortunately Aguero strayed a yard offside. As for the winner of this, it's either the Irish guy, the Swedish guy or the Japanese lady. I've watched the clip of that Japanese lady's goal a few times now and I still keep losing count of how many players she beats.

and I think that's what will happen unless someone is daft enough to buy them out or they manage to get promoted. If they got relegated the consequences that would bring would be terminally damaging IMO

ITV deny having to resort to employing Batman & Robin after mass staff strikes

People talk about any manager that goes to Pompey recently suffering from having a very low IQ and spouting all sorts of rubbish in pre match and post match interviews. Considering they were stupid enough to take the job in the first place maybe we shouldn't be that surprised at the sort of garbage Avram and Cotterill have come out with and will continue to come out with.

Berbatov did dive but any dive by a Utd player at Old Trafford in the penalty area will always result in the same thing regardless of the referee

Maxi Rodriguez has just brought the act of play acting to a new low

If they did get relegated this season (and I don't think they will) I genuinely think that would be the end of them

good to hear, some people were reporting he got a few boos although they may have been for Euell
-
Critical time of the season for them. If they lose their next couple of games I think their heading for a relegation scrap. With their small squad the season fatigue will get to them far earlier than the other teams.

With Kitson facing a lengthy suspension I bet he wants Pompey to get Ronaldinho in on an emergency loan

Knocked out a PL team with a second string side, and the skates have a horrendous day. Couldn't be better How did Aaron Martin play? -
I wonder if the short term loan move could turn out to be a masterstroke from Adkins

that's 7 yellow cards and 1 red for Pompey today. I know this is Pompey, but don't clubs usually get fined for such a poor disciplinary display?
-
I thought they signed him on a permanent deal as part of the Wilson deal?
-
Their 1-0 down as well
-
LOL, they got no one parent club to send him back to either well you know what this means. . . They have no option but to bring in Ronaldinho on a 6 month loan
-
let's hope he packs some punch today

They've just started the 2011 FIFA Asian Cup, the tournament sensationally won by Iraq 4 years ago Qatar opened the tournament losing 2-0 to Uzbekistan

Absolute rubbish. You still owed Spurs money for Defoe after he had gone back to them. The wages for Diarra, Muntari, Johnson, Defoe et al. were completely unsustainable and Storrie oversaw it all. We said it back then, you were talking about new stadiums being built. and who do you think it was who named them? see the common denominator? Chainrai didn't get directly involved with the club until way after the debt had begun building. All he's doing now is what any money lender would do, trying to get his money back. Look you've illustrated previously on here you get the current situation and what Chainrai's current motives are and fair play to you. It's more than what a lot of the Pompey fans understand. There's still plenty of the fans that when this gets pointed out they role out the same "yeah and we beat you 4-1" line that is completely irrelevant, and is quite frankly a way of sticking the fingers in the ears to avoid hearing the truth. As for doing something about the high earners you have, how about "not adding to them" like when you signed Lawrence the other day?

They'll start the seasons earlier and end them later and have a winter break for the world cup

My neighbour also had nothing to do with running over a stray dog in the street because it was the actual car that hit the dog. The financial problems have as much to do with the club/fans as the FA cup final appearances do. Are you honestly trying to claim that the financial recklessness and irregularities, by the CEO and owners of the club, engineered through the club (your problems started way before AA came on the scene) have nothing to do with the club? This isn't about jealousy of your current league position, it's about a lot of Pompey fans waking up and smelling the coffee. Your FA cup final appearances, your UEFA cup appearance and a proportion of the time in the PL were all built through building up debt and screwing anyone you owed money too. When your in an FA cup final, or playing in Europe or playing in the PL with Diarra and Muntari on god knows what wages, the success it brings has everything to do with the club. As soon as it gets found out all of a sudden it has nothing to do with the club and it's all the owner's/PL's/everyone else' fault. It was Storrie who wrecked your club, and it was his actions that ultimately led Pompey to have a bent administrator and ultimately money lender and asset stripper being in charge. The fans don't do themselves a lot of favours by marching downtown and wailing how it's all the PL's fault and holding "fit and proper?" cards up. The PL got their info from somewhere (see the common denominator here?) and it doesn't help that even now Pompey fans are demanding Chainrai open his chequebook to sign more players. Don't they understand what a money lender is? This thread will go on and on until your either bought out by someone purchasing the carcass your club will be left in once Chainrai has got his money back, or your liquidated. It'll run as long as Pompey's financial issues and need for a takeover will run
