  1. It took me a while to figure out it was a joke
  2. Ooh what's this then? I assume it's crossing the t's and dotting the i's for their respective court cases. Storrie's tax case is something to look forward to at the end of the season
  3. I'd laugh if it was actually Tiff Needell. When he got found out cue the "The Stig supports Saints" T-shirts
  4. There was a time when anything printed in the mail had come directly from the lips of Lowe. It does look like a mountain out of a molehill though
  5. been playing this a lot since the real F1 season ended but am ****ed off with it currently Just raced at Singapore. Running 4th, 8 laps from the end catching Kubica as he's stuck in traffic. I then go to lap Petrov and he drives into my car after turn 4. Catch up again on the penultimate lap, get past Petrov, i then lap senna and get a penalty because he drove into my car as I'm braking for the next corner. Because it's at the end of the lap I think I'm getting a drive through and as I'm in the pits it says 20 seconds will be added to my race time. I snatched 13th from the jaws of 3rd
  6. Quite, I can clearly remember watching SSN in the middle of the crisis and they played a film of Saints highlights (some of MLT's wonder goals, couple of Beattie goals, FA Cup final footage etc.) to the song from 'As time Goes By' and MLT was in tears at the end of it. He then clearly said "I will back any serious bid that has the finances to buy out and save the club"
  7. Floodlights have failed for a second time, 3 mins before the end of the game.
  8. You'd say the same thing if we'd won our first 20 games of the season and lost the 21st
  9. Floodlights have gone off at Fratton Park LOL Sounds like someone hasn't been paying their electricity bill
  10. LOL the floodlights have gone off halfway through the second half! Someone hasn't been paying their electricity bill That's a bit of a turn off. .
  11. With comments like that and threads like this http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?24802-quot-Unfounded-quot-speculation-and-rumour-in-the-Echo.....&highlight=pardew you sound like an egotistical 12 year old. There's nothing wrong with voicing your opinion about Cortese but you are doing yourself absolutely no favours at all in the way you do it.
  12. Course the owners won't take any money out of the club. The money will never reach the club in the first place lol.
  13. As an aside anyone see Clarke Carlisle on QT last night? I saw bits of him and from what I saw of him he spoke a lot of sense. Problem was 95% of what I saw of the programme Alastair Campbell was either talking or talking over someone else when they were trying to put their viewpoint across.
  14. Balls has the ability to cause damage, the issue is who he causes the most to - the coalition or his own party. Economically he is the son of Brown, and him and Miliband have long since been in disagreement about moving the party away from "New Labour" ie Tory Cameron is going to pounce on it like a rat up a drainpipe and Miliband has already looked lightweight even with one of the more respected Labour politicians beside him. The Tories are already the more trusted party to deal with the deficit (from the polls I've seen) and think this appointment will only reinforce that trust
  15. Went out in the quarter finals of the Asian Cup after losing 3-2 to Japan
  16. Qatar have gone 1-0 up against Japan in the Asian cup Quarter final
  17. That's an abbreviation with a sentence that I never thought would be true 5 years ago
  18. It wouldn't surprise me if half the protesters there were protesting against Chainrai because they didn't sign Ronaldinho. If a large section of there fans are finally getting it, shame they were too busy cheering on FA cup runs and then wailing about their financial problems all being the PL's fault

If you want an indication of how well prepared we were for Iraq, I went to a talk by canon Andrew White (aka the vicar of Baghdad) a few years ago http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_Andrew_White He was told in the build up to the war by one of the top UK foreign officials on the phone "Religion isn't that important in Iraq"

. . .he says as fuel prices are about to reach a record high
  21. I must say I mostly agree with you on this one. It is quite literally a balls up. The pair of them are Brown mark 2, and they don't even agree between themselves on how to deal with the deficit. A piece of good news for the coalition.
  22. That me burst out laughing as well. I also loved the fact they were suing the Fast food chains on the basis that they had "misled customers by enticing them with greasy, salty and sugary food"
  23. Behave, it was actually Saviola that Ho's insider claimed was signing for Pompey. I guess with Pompey missing out on ronaldinho, and Tevez ending up staying at Man City Cotterill's shortlist must need a rethink
  24. just had a limited edition rustlers indian chicken burger. delicious, even if it has made me put half a stone on
  25. Quite, he was at Pompey for 22 years from '78-'00 I believe and for the vast majority of those years would have earned £30-50k per annum which back in the 80s and even early 90s was a LOT of money. No sympathy from me either.
