Tesla is accused in a lawsuit of speeding up its odometer readings so it can refuse to pay for repairs that would be covered under warranties. Nyree Hinton, the man suing Tesla, says at one point, Tesla was recording over 72 miles a day on his car – for several of those days, his car was at a Tesla repair center. A lawsuit filed against Tesla in California accuses Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company of purposely speeding up odometer readings on its cars to avoid paying for repairs covered under warranties.
