Seaborne was impressive today. Don't understand why some don't rate him. Intercepted countless passes and won the majority of headers. Played some delightful balls forward as well, some of them were Schneiderlin-esque. On that performance I'd say that Seaborne and Fonte are the current CB first choice pairing. That nay change, obviously, if we sign another CB. De Ridder was quality, tricks, pace, linked up with Butterfield well all despite having two players on him whenever he received the ball. Chamberlain was brilliant, had their players chasing shadows and also showed great tenacity and team spirit - for example he chased down one of their players from his position on the right across the pitch. Seems to have a great mindset. He wants to play PL football ASAP but seems a real pro and i'm certain won't "do a Puncheon" if Arsenal don't conjure up a respectable bid. Lambert was VERY rusty, but got into it toward the end culminating in his classic Lambo header. Sure he'll get better with more playing time. Cork was great, him and Morgan worked well together, both really class, but I'd like to see him play with Hammond/Chaplow before making a judgement on the first choice pairing. Butterfield and Richardson fairly well matched - Richardson has all the physical attributes, Butterfield the knowledge and vision. Butterfield's crossing was great though. Lallana was quiet, marked well, though he did have a few great runs as we're used to seeing from him. Connolly was tireless and threw himself about well, always making runs and looking for options. He was fairly well dominated though by their beastly defender. All in all a promising performance.

Bit of football-rumours to keep the juices flowing...

I think it might be because most fans support their team for pleasure, and naturally don't want to hear anything negative emanating from the club - There's life to do that job for you.
-
We need 2 strikers then.

I still feel like it's my club :/

Only reason we sold so little is the prices. I bet Pompey got in at £5 an Adult or something like that, whereas we're getting charged £16. I would've loved to have gone to see us play against two top class European teams, but sadly payday is next week.

We'll get torn a new one

Jemal probably/hopefully.
-
Why does it have to be based on an old one? That's boring IMO.
-
The only tough thing will be when we sell him, trying to buy a replacement will be costly purely because clubs will increase their asking price. And also - we seemed to do alright when we didn't have Chamberlain last season, did we not? I believe we produced our best run of form without him. Most certainly not the end of the world.
-
Sell him. Buy a new player. Simple as that.

Sooo much better than the last striped shirt we had by umbro. Personally I love it, but can understand people that don't yet. "overwhelmed" "underwhelmed" aren't great words to use, surely. What were you expecting???

Nice "quotes" in the most recent. I think he's just too scared to back down from this story, so now he's slanted it to suggest that we're stopping(!?!?!?) him from leaving. Fuck off did he beg us to let him leave.

Not long to go now mate!

If we signed Cohen from Forest I would cream.

Born in Southampton. Dad was born in Southampton. His Dad lived in Southampton most of his life. Hooked since my first match at the Dell back in 94. Simple as that.

I reckon that the Itchen Corner will be reopened soon based on the increased demand we'll see when Saints start winning for fun.

Richardson.

I'll take that.

On the Preston forum, from people who were watching training and saw Fish there.

Rumour is on the PNE forums that he's training with them. In fact, it's a little more concrete than rumour if you read their forum.

It was stupid to close the only thread with consistent views and comments over the summer. It was relatively interesting and the main thread on here (despite the minority that wanted it gone). It's not hard to avoid a thread if you don't agree with it, so I'm completely at a loss to see why it has been removed without a new option being available.

Poor old Hypo. This place will be better without him.
