  1. Brentford had players isolating due to COVID19 and had sold their best attackers, yet still managed to brush us aside. I see no reason why an early wake up would stop Kane and Son tearing our weak defence apart. 0-3 to Spuds.
  2. Its the lack of guile and creativity that worries me most. All a side has to do these days against our boys is put 10 men behind the ball - we have no answers, no plan B.
  3. Outplayed and absolutely outclassed. Embarrassing performance.
  4. This is an horrific endictment of our limited squad.

    Guly

Hmmm, I hope all is well with Guilherme. Seems like a lovely chap, I hope this isn't as foreboding as it seems...
  6. Good luck to the man. Dedicated, level headed and extremely professional. As a player he always put in a shift (thinking of his empassioned slide tackle in the dying minutes at Fratton Park), and deserves a chance to test himself at Spurs. Not amazingly dynamic or forward-thinking, mainly opting for a short sideways or backwards pass, but good at breaking up play at high tempo. Best of luck to him. If Romeu can keep the decent standard post-lockdown I hope we won't really notice Hojbjerg's absence.
  7. I get quite excited by the prospect of Saints dipping into the talented pool of Championship players, perhaps even more so than talented players from leagues abroad.
  8. So really, if it comes down to us or Leicester, its an obvious choice for McKennie.
  9. 😂

    20/21 Kit

    So mean.
  11. I've heard he was found googling Stoneham golf course during a recent match whilst on the subs bench, which is partly why Zidane left him unused. Make of that what you will... 😉
  12. Surely playing more of a retreated back-line would help, too, in that we would be less likely to be caught out by an 'over-the-top' clearance-come-pass?
  13. Now it's down to the lads to stick the ball in the net!
  14. Here's another from their forums:
  15. Forgot to add this was taken from a Liverpool forum, if it wasn't obvious enough!
  16. #40 MrRinsin: IMO there is a bit of a professional friction between Ralph and Jürgen. The media loved comparing the two and IMO Hassenhütl resented that. I thought Southampton players were very disrespectful to the Boss in last year’s away fixture. Let’s not forget, Nathan Redmond and Hojbjerg arrogantly barking and gesticulating at JK late in the match which I thought very odd. I will forever love Ingsy because he is all class, but I will not lie, I want our boys to properly smash this lot. Put them back in their place. I would love it if we beat them
  17. KWP will be cup tied, surely? So who are we playing RB against Spurs?
  18. Surely having pockets of vocal support across the whole of the ground is far more efficacious in producing noise than one 'home end'. People that may not normally be vocal might feel more inclined to join in if there are people near them consistently starting and joining in with chants
  19. It's a crying shame, isn't it? Ralph has energised this club so much, and the backing he is getting is questionable. Perhaps we're waiting to get rid of some deadwood before investing properly? I doubt it, but I need some hope to cling to!
  20. We normally would take up a fat old allocation at Palace. I was there back in the Championship promotion season where we had near enough the whole stand! How many tickets did we take as an allocation?
  21. If we'd have won against Wolves, we'd have probably lost or drawn today!

    Allocations

Does this (and the fact that we are pessimistic with away allocations for our own fans) all fit in with the cost-cutting, penny-pinching, 'self-sufficiency' our owners are demanding?
  23. Wolves are a strong side with some talented midfield and attacking options, and some impressive defenders. It will be a difficult game but our tenacity at the moment is a joy to watch. I think we will have too much of them but will concede first. 3-1 to the Saints. Ings and Long with one each, Redmond with the cherry on top.
  24. Ings is the difference. His goals have proved vital.
  25. 35 points from 16 matches... wow! Not sure we'll be able to match that but the FA Cup always allows room for dreams!
