Well thats the other issue. Getting fit enough to play is one thing but he's not Premier League proven so he could end up being totally out of his depth. I fear we'll never get the chance to find out one way or the other.

Yes, I get getting carried away with the euphoria of going up and the part he ultimately did play in that but in the cold light of day they needed to assess it properly, say thanks very much and let him leave as his contact ended. To give him another 2 years is utterly crazy.
