  1. Ok this is what will happen tonight….. Liverpool (probably Klopp’s Kindergarten) are live on ITV tonight in the FA Cup. ITV will be so busy paying homage to Klippity and co that we won’t get a mention until the game starts….and even then that’s open for debate. Should by some miracle Saints score the level of incredulity will rise beyond reasonable levels, “how dare….umm, who are these, oh yeah, Southampton, score” We probably won’t….but just in case If we happen to steal a win……the brown stuff will hit the fan, how dare they break Jurgen’s dream of winning everything blah blah blah. The fact we need this game like a hole in the head will be lost on ITV, we will probably play a weakened side, we have much bigger fish to fry…..and one last thing, if we lose 5 or 6-0 we will be called “plucky” and Klopp will hug all our players Up the Saints!
  2. Might as well play Sulemana given his best game by far was against them and its a good shop window for him which i'm sure will be at the forefront of his mind.
  3. They’ll need to use some bloody strong bleach to clean off that commentary gantry after that Liverpool fawning wankfest
  4. I really hoped after both the Hull game and yesterday RM would take full responsibility like he did after the Bristol City game, but no, he's prattling on about mistakes not tactics blah blah blah. Well Russell old son, there weren't too many mistakes when we went on that run and the team virtually picked itself without too much tinkering! The decision to play our most consistent player out of position (his preferred position before anyone chips in) at Left back yesterday was a case in point. Now even RM realised that was wrong when he changed it at half time, but why do it in the first place ? To get Stephens in ? But he played on the left at WBA so...... The last two games stink of a manger who thinks he's cracked it and can be as clever as he wants, so there ! Its a trait Ralph had and this one has in spades.
  5. Unfortunately its not just the second failure in a week, its a blind spot he continually finds everytime Downes is out injured/ill. Bree should be a shoe in next week against Birmingham as should putting back together the team and system that went on that run. All these positional chganges and playig around with the formation have proven to be a bloody disaster
  6. those two players will NEVER belong in the same sentence.
  7. Yeah this is the trouble with RM’s style. If you are winning and just knocking the ball about with little purpose the majority accept it but when you’re losing and the team are still puddling about in the middle of the park and showing little urgency it’s bloody frustrating to say the least.
  8. Don’t all players with a leg injury to keep any weight off it? What Adkins used to call “shutting down the player”
  9. Only my opinion but for me this totally cheapens and degrades when there is a minute of applause during a game for someone who has passed away. Ridiculous, whats next? A minutes applause for the anniversary of Primark opening its Southampton store ?
  10. Guy who sits behind me sussed him out after a couple of games, absolutely hates him. I came around to his way of thinking Tuesday night, he was worse than bloody awful.
  11. FA Cup Semi Final - Highbury - Everton 1984 even the title of this thread took me straight back to that little shite Adrian Heath scoring a header after the ball hit a divot in the penalty area !!
  12. We played Friday, Hull played Saturday. Hull is the stronger opposition in this two home game run, make your changes Saturday, go strong against the strongest team. Adams and Aribo didnt start/play Friday, they could have both come in. Charles didnt play 90 mins Friday, he could have sat in that CDM role instead of the dreadful Smallbonbe/Rothwell combo. I appreciate what you are saying but on this occasion it doesnt really stack up very well.
  13. I still don’t get the hype over him. Are we still basing it on that performance against Liverpool in a dead game at the end of last season? Cos if we are I wanna make a case for Lee Todd being our best ever and sadly misunderstood left back !!!
  14. Agree, he’s a decent enough player but hasn’t got the strength or pace for that role.
  15. Yeah he’s over selling it if he thought second half was very good, it was better but that didn’t take much. Smallbone and Rothwell cannot play in that midfield together, it was horrible. Why he went for a weakened starting eleven tonight instead of Saturday against Millwall (if he must utilise the squad that is) I just don’t understand. Hull are a much better side so shoukd have been paid the courtesy of having our strongest possible line-up starting against them. I hope, as he has in the past, RM admits he got this one badly wrong.
  16. Everton are awful, Luton are better than them so hopefully that 10 point deduction stays in place and the two of them battle it out until the end when Luton’s penultimate last home game is……Everton !
  17. I know we were bloody awful last season but Sheffield United are absolutely horrific. I’ve never seen a team so unprepared for the Premier League
  18. obviously, ive explained what i meant 🙂
  19. youve missed the point, i'm not comparing them one against another but I am saying none of them are seen as "big name" clubs that attract a big following like a Leeds do.
  20. Sky are desperate for it to go down to that last match, understandably for viewing figures etc. But I do get the underlying feeling that Sky are hoping for Leeds to go up so yet another "big club" takes their rightful place at the top table. Its been said before and still rings true, broadcasters dont want the likes of Southampton, Bournemouth, Luton, Palace, Brentford and (despite their hot run currently) Brighton bringing down their viewing figures !
  21. Indeed, but putting yet more faith in calamity Jack ! you concede 6 goals in two games so you put in Stephens to stem that? Fuckin hell 🙄
  22. Stephens right back, KWP left back? bugger
  23. Yeah but look how many boxes Sky are ticking by employing her ! Who the fuck is she? She can’t string a fkin sentence together let alone ask a decent question !!
  24. Klopp wants the League, so with a full strength team out for the Cup Final Sunday then a full strength out for the visit to Forest the followig weekend theres every chance he will make changes against us. Whether that benefits us or not is anyone's guess but it will be interesting to see how we go against a top Prem team.....pity it wasnt at home really but never mind.
