  1. The irony is their first match is away to Leeds 🤣
  2. This England performance with all its sideways and backwards passing must be like a soft porn film for Russell Martin !
  3. The problem appears to be RM and his staff have no patience with him cos he’s not great at ball retention and working back…..apparently.
  4. Maybe so but I think this sums up why the new West Ham manager wont be that fussed about keeping him, he'll surely be looking for a much higher profile player to add to his team/squad. I might be wrong of course 😂
  5. I believe that's when the new kit deal begins so that will either be the date we get our first look or they'll reveal early next week with the tag line "on sale from Monday 1 July"
  6. they're based in Portsmuff arent they ? At least thats the address on the constant flyers we get through the letterbox
  7. Pretty fuckin simple to totally miss the point that he’s talking about how much use he’s gonna be playing wise rather than his salary wise arse !! And you really think anyone in any profession agrees to those terms? Who’s the simple one pal?
  8. What’s his contract terms got to do with the point FF made about not finishing a game in 3 years?
  9. If there is any truth in this presumably it means Adams is off……..hopefully
  10. There are no words, deepest sympathy to you and the family.
  11. My thoughts too, couldnt have asked for a much better balanced set of fixtures to be honest, there are no horrendous 6/7 game runs where you think "oh ffs" !!
  12. As he was the club's guest at the play-off final and word is the deal was done sometime ago is it safe to assume he would have signed had we still been in The Championship? I'm just thinking that given the experienced players we would have undoubtedly lost then his signing might not have caused such confusion and would have made a lot more sense for his experience and helping the young players. I mean I still think thats mainly going to be his role whilst learning Russball and being ready to go on the coaching staff when he hangs up his boots. Anyway as I said before if he comes off the bench and scores or makes the goal that ultimately keeps us up next season then that'll be justification (and retribution for past sins 😉) right there.
  13. Interesting that he sent his kid to Saints Academy rather than Bournemouth which not only did he claim was his real home but is literally 3 miles up the road from where he lives.
  14. He fell over early on and got a free kick. Apart from the kick offs after each goal, no !
  15. I bloody hope Adams has already signed a contract with Wolves or Forest or anyone that isn’t Southampton
  16. he spent so long up Klopp’s arse it was bound to have an effect !
  17. I cant stop looking at the shirt......i mean its so bloody awful it keeps dragging me back for another look and headshake 😂
  18. I'm old enough to know the difference between Gordon Strachan and Redcrapp son so quit the wise arse comments and answer the question !
  19. You've lost me.....what's funny about that ? Both parts of it are true.
  20. Agree, he should have have shone in The Championship and given the manager a real problem about dropping him. Never happened.
  21. Adams is reasonable if he is the support second striker to hold the ball up etc. The problem arises when the guy is the main central striker, his shot to goal ratio is appalling. I just wish he'd go, he's not gonna keep us up.
  22. Did he? Apart from Liverpool at home last match of that dreadful season when he was presumably trying to impress potential suitors what game/games was/were that then ?
  23. Alcaraz - decent chance I would say Sulemana - not a cat in hells chance, I really dont get what people see in him. Get rid asap
  24. You are correct, despite remembering his face front and centre when they celebrated at an empty Anfield (due to Covid) his role in winning both those trophies was minimal to say the least.
  25. I honestly believe the main reason they want him is for Academy coaching after his work with the England U21's and his stated desire to go into coaching. Therefore I would imagine the first year will be a player/coach role whereby he can help out the first team squad, mainly from the subs bench, but then after that he will retire from playing and just Coach. Surman came back without the playing part, Danny Butterfield did likewise. Its nothing new. Had Walcott shown an interest in coaching then that may well have been his brief too. I dont particularly want him back, the reasons have been debated on here long and hard, for me its not that he left to better himself its how he left. But I understand the reasons they want him and they are, on a football level, sound so fair enough. If he creates or scores that one goal that keeps us up then the decision is vindicated and the guy becomes a hero again. As bitter as I might be about how he left the fact remains that his departure didnt lead to our spiral down the leagues etc, we had 3 or 4 very very good years without him.
