If you're Maitland Niles and you've sat at home watching that last night and listening to the pillock of a manager say you're not ready to play in that team what the hell must you be thinking ? The temptation to go into training and say "you want me to play like THAT????" would be too much for me.
-
It took the genius manager 79 minutes before he decided to hook him off that pitch tonight. I would love him to explain what he saw to keep him out there for so bloody long !
-
Well at least JWP will get a decent rest at the end of the year cos playing like he is at present I’ve got more chance of going to the World Cup and I’m 55 with a dodgy knee !
-
He’s just a nothing player. He isn’t awful but he isn’t a game changer or match winner either.
-
Gonna struggle to take any positives whatsoever out of that shower of shite. Woeful, as bad as I’ve seen for many a year, and boy there’s been some crap in that time.
-
Harsh, it’s only defending he’s shite at ! 😂 Really exposed at present with VVD off form.
-
Well he’s been effin awful as a right back this season so he can’t do any worse!

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25
beatlesaint replied to Over land and sea's topic in The Saints
That’s one hell of a middle name Kyle Walker Peters carries around with him ! -
I think games in London will be very doubtful with The Queen lying in state and the Police resources stretched to cope with the crowds for that. The rest will, or should go ahead.
-
Well it was the PL and EFL boards who made the decision but never mind.
-
Er, no, they missed out because on Thursday it rained all day then on Friday and Saturday a lot of things were cancelled because of the passing of The Queen. You have some weird ways of looking at things sometimes. Even if the game had been played he/she still missed 2 days cricket. That costs a hell of a lot more than a football match ! What a shame she couldn’t have hung on another four days to placate your mate !! FFS. For a historian you have a rather contrary opinion on tradition and the total historical magnitude of what’s going on at present.
-
To be fair even the horse racing, which was her sport, have cancelled Saturday although they are starting up again on Sunday. Maybe the Premier League could have kept the four games scheduled Sunday and Monday on the cards but I suppose the “big” clubs playing Saturday would have created about unfair fixture congestion which others haven’t got !!

Games off, confirmed by Sky Sports
-
Well given that the Prem League won’t cancel this weekend, too much money would be lost !
-
Are you completely stupid or have you been practicing? This is not unique to the U.K. Whenever a leading figure be it monarchy or presidential etc pass away IN ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD there is a period of mourning. Everything gets cancelled as a mark of respect. In the more religious countries (India as an example) they go to lengths that will outstrip anything we see in the coming days. Wether you like, approve, support the Monarchy or not The Queen served this country for 70 years……70 years !!! To put you out by cancelling a bloody football match which, if we didn’t win no doubt you would moan about for days, is small beer compared with the enormity of the event. FFS.

That’s three players who have left this month, Romeu, Valery & now Redmond who have shown Bednerek up !
-
I think he’ll need all the luck going with that lot. Is he ready for a top 4 club? We’ll see, I’m not convinced at all but apparently niether is Jamie Carragher so more than happy to be proved wrong 😂
-
Bloody hell, if I’d been Ralph I think the temptation to turn around and say “sort your own bloody game out first son” would have been overwhelming.
-
Brighton given permission for Chelsea to talk to him according to SSN. I must be missing something here, he’s done well and is a decent manager for a club like them, or us even. But a big 6 club? Christ it was only last season the Brighton fans were having a go cos they hadn’t won at home for ages.
-
Belmaldi, David Puckett, Mark Whitlock.
-
No, he really couldnt, not anymore. He's not getting any of those wide slots in the team and playing him as a striker has been a bloody disaster. Save the wage, get a fee, which is good whatever it is, and move on. Cheers for the good stuff, as already said those two semi finals against Liverpool he was outstanding, and good luck.

Romeo Lavia - Official: Signs for Not Liverpool

Man City have first refusal don’t they? That’s how buy back clauses work. So approaching Southampton on transfer deadline day with that complication in the contract was never gonna result in them buying him -

I guess the new owners at Chelsea haven’t grasped how buy back clauses work 🤔 -
I’m not a great fan of his but he was outstanding second half against Chelsea, he worked his guts out. I can see why Ralph stuck with him today tbf.
-
Umm, not sure he will view this as a good move in a couple of years time. But like every footballer he backs his own ability and is convinced he will be Chelsea's No. 9 for years to come. With the money at their disposal I'm not so sure but good luck to the lad.
