To be fair, West Brom won at Anfield, and then lost their next two league games, so I wouldn't say winning in the FA Cup will bring them back into the mix at all.
They'll always be better than us....
More trophies yes, but better dodgy owners, more administrations, more points deducted, more tax avoided from HMRC... we just can't do collapses like they do.
Let's not turn this into another Puel thread. That topic has been done to death now, we all know where everyone stands on the matter, so there really is no need to speak anymore about it.
I personally think the issues at the club are bigger than whomever the coach happens to be. We shouldn't be where we are, but we won't get where we aim to be (competing for European places) if things stay the same behind the scenes.
Don’t understand how the FA Cup can be a ‘distraction’. Winning is winning, and I’ll take a win over the worst team in the league all day long. Hopefully two consecutive away wins will convince the team that they’re good enough to go to somewhere like Burnley and get a result.
Recruitment has been dreadful for the last two seasons. We got away with it last season but this year, coupled with a dreadful manager, and now look where we are.
Whatever happens in terms of relegation or staying up, the recruitment needs to be looked at. Reed and Wilson have major questions to answer.
I don't agree, but I appreciate that you've explained and justified your position, and some of the comments you make are fair. But at the end of the day, it's a results business, and they just haven't come for him.
We don't again until the following weekend so there is zero reason that either team should be fielding weak teams.
We've beaten West Brom twice this season, "can we play you every week" well every two weeks is OK I guess.
