They were waiting until seeing if Swansea or Sheffield Wednesday got through. If Sheff Wed had won, their match would have been on the Sunday, since Sheffield United play at home on the Saturday. As Swansea got through, there are no scheduling issues and our game was able to be put on the Sunday.

Out of the things he has said this season, that ranks as one of the more sensible things he said. Maybe it was a translation error on his part, but my interpretation of what he was saying is that a last-minute equaliser felt as good as a win on the day.

That game (them or Swansea against Tottenham) is likely to be on the Friday night. There will definitely a Sunday early afternoon slot as the one Sunday game so far doesn't start until 4.30pm (it wouldn't kick off so late if there wasn't another match before). I don't think there will be another Saturday game at all.
