  1. I did laugh, I must admit. Roy Hodsgon's available. Any takers...?
  2. Who says he's unambitious? He named arguably the strongest line up we've named so far. The players didn't perform. Yes, we need more than just a striker. Meanwhile, we are two games away from a Wembley final. Sure, after tonight's performance it's hard to imagine us winning. But Liverpool have lost to Burnley and Bournemouth (and didn't score against us), so we have to keep positive.
  3. It is obvious that we lack a threat up front. We need a striker, that is the absolute minimum in January.
  4. Nope, not at all. Tonight is disappointing but there are a lot of reasons to still be positive about the upcoming season.
  5. I'm sure Bournemouth fans were thinking the same last week.
  6. Nobody wants Stoke's players cos they're crap. Bournemouth have a good team with decent team spirit but they are short of quality (hence why they managed to lose to West Ham!) We will finish above these teams with ease.
  7. So we're out of the Europa League? Big deal. EFL Cup semi-final to look forward to. Some people need to just cheer up. I'd rather be a Saints fan right now then a whole host of other teams. Perspective.
  8. Someone has to be a happy clapper Nah I reckon there will be a big reaction and we will win comfortably. Middlesbrough will come for a point.
  9. Go on then. Who do you want? Redknapp? Adkins? Strachan?
  10. Middlesbrough are rubbish. 3-0 home win, easy.
  11. Then you need to get some perspective. Tonight is disappointing, I agree, and the performance was not good enough. But we are in a cup semi-final and our league form (hopefully) will improve. There are still many things to be positive about. Sacking the manager won't help things at all. Who on earth is out there that could do a better job?
  12. Let's not forget that crap display at Midtjylland last season At least we actually drew this game rather than lost #progress
  13. Only those who can see the bigger picture will understand that Puel is a good coach and we will do well this season. Their goal came from an individual mistake. How on earth is that Puel's fault? The players let him down tonight. Before the game, everyone wanted a strong team and he named a strong team. We controlled possession and dominated the game. They didn't look like scoring before Romeu gave it to their player for the goal.
  14. Only people with very low intelligence levels or trolls will call for Puel's head.
  15. Exactly! This is hardly a new situation for us. Those calling for Puel's head are either very simple or trolling.
  16. A month is a long time in football.
  17. And for those who want Koeman back... Everton have won once in ten matches! And they're only playing in one competition at the moment. When it works for us, it works well (as the match at Arsenal demonstrated). So keep the faith guys. We will finish in the top half and we have a cup semi-final to look forward to. Tonight is disappointing but we will march on.
  18. Nice fans must've hated that 4th place. Puel is a good manager but we are obviously lacking in the attacking department and that is probably the fault of Les Reed. The stats speak for themselves - we lack goals. We need a striker and an attacking midfielder. We got into numerous positions which were good for us but it all broke down in the final third. BUY A STRIKER PLEASE LES REED. PLEASE!
  19. They must have hated reaching Champions League semi final.
  20. LOL, just LOL 90 minutes of utter crap and then right at the very end we very nearly go and win it. Scenes if we had scored then. Oh well, concentrate on the EFL Cup.
  21. Thank god Fonte isn't starting after his horror show on Saturday. We look much more safe and stable with Yoshida in the team.
  22. Good team, and good rotation.
  23. It must be a rotated squad. And it will be, because Puel is thinking long term, not short term. We have a good squad and the eleven that Puel names should be good enough to win. We are at home, we will win this by more than 2 goals and the trolls will be very upset that they can't have a meltdown #prayforalpine
  24. Qarabag got eliminated which now means (assuming we get through) the furthest teams possible at the moment would be Zenit and Osmanlispor. Although there are still some other teams in Turkey and Israel that could go through.
  25. Rotation DOES play a part - we need players fresh for Middlesbrough on Sunday AND Stoke on Wednesday.
