  1. No different to the cup games against Sunderland or Palace. The current first team isn't exactly doing well...
  2. Alderweireld? He was replaced pretty well... Top quality CBs are difficult to find and it will be tough, but we've done it before and we'll do it again I'm sure.
  3. I'm seeing some morons on Twitter trying to blame Puel for this. They obviously haven't listened to the whole interview, where it's clearly stated that this was going on before Puel even arrived. If there have been things going on behind the scenes, then perhaps it's a miracle that we're as high in the table as 10th.
  4. It's interesting that the club has released this themselves. He probably won't leave in January. Les Reed has made it perfectly clear that we won't let him go without us signing an adequate replacement.
  5. I have never said that Puel is not replaceable. But sack him just because we've lost three games and a few of the players think they know better? Of course not.
  6. Let's hope they don't show themselves up in front of the entire nation live on Sky tomorrow night.
  7. Liverpool were in the Europa League last season, didn't rotate and finished rather low down in the table.
  8. Eric Black perhaps is the major issue here. Also, we don't really here much from Pascal Plancque, the other coach.
  9. Calling Guan or K.Billy to confirm or refute the rumours please...
  10. Brett Ormerod Jan-Paul Saeijs
  11. No, what I am saying is that the bad form isn't just down to the manager. The players need to up their game. After the first goal against Everton, the players capitulated. Why? Of course, the manager should take some responsibility but it's not all his fault.
  12. Always easy for the manager to get the blame. The players should look at themselves. 1 goal all season for Long is pathetic from him. Say what you want about the manager's tactics, formation etc. but the players have to take responsibility too for the bad form. I'm wondering, therefore, if Nigel Adkins's presence in the stands on Saturday was not a coincidence. Perhaps he's being lined up to take charge for the rest of the seasn, like Hiddink did for Chelsea last season. There would be a better calibre of managers available in the summer, if we do indeed to part company with Puel, rather than hire someone straight away.
  13. No way we should sign Defoe. He has one, maybe two decent seasons left in him. He would be a waste of money.
  14. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/pompey-boss-apologises-over-mcgeehan-reaction-1-7757576 The comments section on the News section is interesting... (excuse the spelling and grammar errors)
  15. I will hold my hands up as being someone this time last year who wouldn't have been sad to see Koeman go. I was wrong then and I'm confident that things will turn around in the next few league games. Even under Pochettino we had our dodgy moments. QPR at home, Cardiff at home, West Brom at home
  16. So why was Austin scoring for fun until he got injured? If he was playing and still fit, I have no doubt we'd have won or drawn some of the games in which we dropped points. That's why I blame the board for not signing another striker in the summer, and why we should be pushing urgently to bring one in.
  17. Or this temporary bad form is deceiving the deluded pessimists who want us to sack our manager every other 10 games like Hull or Swansea
  18. The links to Aston Villa are beyond stupid. They were in a relegation battle. We are not
  19. I'd rather have Adkins back than Eddie Howe
  20. Arsenal equalise! Lol
  21. I agree with that. The West Brom really was a poor one. I can understand losing to Spurs and Everton. If we lose in the same manner to some of our next opponents then I will be concerned for sure.
  22. The referee for this one is Chris Kavanagh Mainly a Football League ref but was in charge when we beat Sunderland in the EFL Cup He'll probably be promoted to the Select Group next season
  23. Jenkinson, Gabriel, Gibbs, Coquelin, Xhaka, Elneny, Chamberlain, Ramsey, Iwobi and Pérez all played in that game. Granted, Ozil Sanchez and Giroud didn't play but that team we beat was not a poor side at all.
  24. And then beat them a few weeks later
