We were desperate and it showed. We thought he'd be a Pelle but evidently not. I'm still convinced that with a better manager than Pellegrino (the worst Premier League manager we've ever had) he can be a useful player for us. But I wouldn't blame us if we decided to sell.

VAR won't reduce the controversy, and in my opinion increases the drama. Looking forward to seeing it in action.

The club has to be self-sufficient - good. We don't want to end up like the blue phew and spend beyond our means. I don't see the article as being negative, I just see the owner saying he's being careful. At the end of the day, if we have a relatively stress-free season (i.e. we're not in a relegation battle again) then criticism of the owner will die down.

Saw a figure of £10M get banded about, but no idea if that's true or not.

Don't think Gunn is that good. He's young and he'll improve, but McCarthy is the better goalkeeper right now.

Last time we had wide stripes was in the Championship days, that kit wasn't too bad.

We actually have a plan, which is encouraging. Top 10 won't be easy at all. We have a top 10 attack but a bottom 3 defence.

I think they'll beat Sunderland but lose to Charlton at Wembley. Charlton the form team and looking very good.

We do have a tendency to be really crap against teams crapper than us - Cardiff doing the double over us for example. However, Huddersfield are truly one of the worst Premier League teams for a good few years and I will be disappointed if we do not get a comfortable win here.

We're either going to surprisingly win or get absolutely stuffed.

Some of the posts about Forster have been completely over the top. Yes he was poor for us for a long time and deservedly got dropped but he's not incompetent, and if he's worked hard in training to improve his game and has got his confidence back then good for him.

The important thing is that we progress. I don't think anyone will come in for him unless we did what we did under Koeman - i.e. finish 7th and 6th, and even then it was only Everton who came in for him. The big clubs want proven Champions League pedigree. I'd say only Spurs seem willing to take a bit of a risk with their managers, perhaps if Pochettino departs then it is Spurs who will be the ones to look our way, but for now let's enjoy what we've got and hopefully a positive 2019-20 season.
