I will stick my neck on the line and guess that we won't sell him for any price. Not to a non top six team in any case.
-
Anyone who wants Howe over Ralph needs to give their head a good wobble.
-
As and when we are looking for our next manager, I would be hoping for someone of a much higher calibre than Eddie Howe.
-
Can we offer a buy one get one free and throw Hoedt in to whoever wants JV?
-
Objectively a terrible decision. Don't get the hype over Kalvin Phillips. Average at best.
-
I can see Elyounoussi and Lemina working their way back, but Hoedt is done. A terrible defender, and an even worse person in my view. Get rid at all costs.

Southampton - A statistical analysis (20/21 edition)
Pamplemousse replied to TWar's topic in The Saints
Echo the thoughts of others, a very interesting read. Out of interest, have you looked into as much detail into the other teams in the league? If so, where do you see us in relation to them? Obviously from a statistical point of view, the league table, as is the cliché, doesn't lie. -
I don't think it's deliberate. He knows we need to improve defensively. And that isn't true by the way, only been January since the regular defeats. And we got 6 points from our last 4 games. Let's not make things up.
-
Very true about Puel. He knew the limitations of this team and reacted accordingly. Sadly some of our more unintelligent fans couldn't see that. Same with Ralph I think. He knows what he's working with. Just got to hope it's a busy transfer window. I really want him to be ruthless with this squad.
-
Pathetic display but players ultimately are responsible. Ralph made it clear he wanted to finish as high as possible; they let him down. Mass clear out required (I've said this for years).
-
I don't get why we've taken off the one player who actually seems to be trying Why is Redmond still on the pitch??
-
Trying the stuff that saw us win 6 of our first 8 games. Convenient for you to forget that. The only person showing their footballing unintelligence is you. I'd have thought you'd have realised to not spout off but here you still are embarrassing yourself every week.
-
Redmond has been abysmal. Defence shocking. Very annoying as we had played well.
-
He's clearly a very good manager. The fact is, when he was sacked, harshly, we were on a good run of form. Whether we'd have progressed as quickly as we did under Poch/Koeman with Adkins we'll never know. They had connections I suppose he didn't have.
-
Hope all the players have copies of Viafara's message underneath their shirts when we win up there
-
Having Black Lives Matters emblazoned on shirts was misjudged, and the Premier League would be wise not to align itself with an extremist organisation in the future. I don't see the act of taking the knee as being "owned" by that organisation though.
-
I honestly don't see the issue. It's just taking a knee. That's it. No big deal.
-
It'll only be the fourth consecutive season in the Premier League with him but yes it'll be a gamble... 😂
-
Disagree. It was a very competitive game. We didn't take our chances.
-
I was in the McCarthy camp before today, but now I think there is only one option. Sell them both, sign a new goalkeeper. Neither are good enough.
-
Scoreline flatters them. We'll get them next season.
-
Not sure he bottled it, just misjudged the situation. Not good whatever way you look at it. No way should anyone score from there.
-
Yup agreed. Bad, bad goalkeeping. It's my fault for saying he's our clear number one before the game.
-
Given how well Leeds are defending and our, ahem, "ability" at chasing games late on, this is a foregone conclusion sadly. Annoying as we've done ok
-
Because he's our second best keeper. Hth
