Back to winning ways tonight, 4-0 with a Long goal off his penis again
-
I really really want us to win this one, their fans are some of the worst in the league, maybe English football. I'd stick with Long, unpopular opinion but I thought he grew into the game at Fulham. Brings Ings on for the last 20 (if Ralph can stomach making an early sub) against their tiring defence, given they haven't even played this weekend's fixture yet. With Romeu back, I reckon we'll just about have enough to beat them.
-
Think we'll win this one with relative ease.
-
Harry Redknapp is at the game doing punditry for Amazon, if you're going please give him hell.
-
We didn't disgrace ourselves in either league game against them last season. Whether we'll be lucky enough to keep them out like last time will be a different matter but we're a good team and Man City will have to play very well to beat us. I'd take a point tbh.
-
Also some bad news about Amazon's coverage. For the Man City game on Saturday, a certain H. Redknapp is at St Mary's doing punditry.

Feeling more confident than I did against Brighton and Sheffield United. As long as we stick to our game plan we really should win this, they may have some quality individual players who would walk into our side, but they're not a team and once you get into a rut, it all goes downhill quickly. I can honestly see them getting into a relegation battle as long as Arteta stays there.

Absolutely no reason why we can't go there and win.

Saints vs Sheff Utd - Match & Reaction Thread
Pamplemousse replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
It's still very congested in the middle, not counting any chickens just yet! -
I hope Sharp gets a decent reception from the fans at the ground.
-
People said the same about Brighton too The reality is Brighton aren't a very good team, and Sheffield United are even worse than them.

The last 38 Premier League games = 64 points for Saints
Pamplemousse replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Also, on a PPG basis, the teams we've faced have been harder than the teams we've got left to play. I think the crux will be where we are after MW19. It's still very tight in the middle. Arsenal aren't that far behind us for example. -
We will win and easily, they're down there for a reason, they're a terrible team. Got found out pretty easily and have been awful for the whole of 2020.

One of my favourite games of all time that. Peter Walton was the referee, one of the worst refereeing performances of all time. Taricco ended up getting sent off, and after being denied a number of stone wall penalties, Lambert got given one that was a dive.
-
Yup, not too sure why there is so much controversy. It was tight, but foul continued in the box. As someone said on Twitter, it's simply a matter of geography.
-
Lol love it, another jammy win against Brighton Forgot why I dislike them so much. Poyet may not be there any more, but their players and fans are still some of the biggest whiners and moaners in English football.
-
Brighton really are not that great, poor quality team and will only stay up because other teams are far worse than them. Anything other than a win will be disappointing.

I have no issue with players continuing taking of a knee personally, and if our players want to keep on doing so, then I support them. However, booing was totally inevitable. The organisation Black Lives Matter, which sadly have latched onto this, is a horrific group that should be widely condemned for hijacking an anti-racism campaign to push an extremist ideology. Unfortunately, to some, apparently to be anti-racist you have to be left wing, and conversely, if you're not left wing, you're a racist, or an enabler of racism. Kick It Out is totally apolitical, what was wrong with strengthening their message, especially as it well known and well respected as an organisation. In any case, I'd be disappointed if there are boos next weekend at St Mary's. I do believe the players' gestures are meant to show a message about anti-racism, and nothing more.
-
Got to say Ralph is fully to blame, it was obvious we were tiring, needed subs on earlier.
-
Draw is my prediction. I'd be more optimistic if this was at Old Trafford
-
Have we ever beaten a team managed by Ole? Can't be fooled by their league position, on their day they are a very good team.
-
I hate to go MLG but Wolves aren't in Europe this season
-
A good away point, and the fair result. And as others have said, with Ings I think we win that game.
-
Looking forward to this one, I suspect they will put up more of a challenge than Everton and Villa did when we came up against supposedly tougher opposition.
-
Apparently Saiss wasn't pictured in training today, so Wolves fans have deduced it's him.
