  1. Heard the Charlie Adam one in a couple of places. All from Liverpool fans though. I think they just want rid.
  2. Cheers fellas, it is great to see how highly they rate him. Both talking of England caps!
  3. The opinions of a couple of clarets:- http://georgeweahscousin.com/2012/06/13/saints-get-their-man-jay-rodriguez/
  4. ....his mother is Czech. Father Ethiopian.
  5. Plays for Slovan Liberec. I thought he was very good last night too. Pacy and full of tricks.
  6. Schneiderlin is our best central midfielder, I am sure of that! When has Adkins said that about Guly?
  7. Oh my god. Couldn't make it up. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/could-al-fahim-get-involved-at-pompey-again-1-3943137
  8. Just tweeted that it is staggering that Markus paid our debts in full, when the likes of Pompey and Rangers are offering such crappy CVA's. It shows what a decent man and moral businessman he was. If Chanrai get's control of Pompey again, their decline is only going to continue. Liquidation might be a better option....
  9. ...more that we could play that kind of formation with the talent we have. Should have left the back four off..... My bad.
  10. Haha, I thought the responses could be similar to this. It was more to highlight our attacking talent. In an ideal world the back four will look very different!
  11. I like the look of this. Davis Richardson/New RB Fonte Hooiveld Fox Cork Schneiderlin JRod Guly Lallana Lambert
  12. I know we have signed Kleber Chala and Imants Bleidelis in the past, but this would take signing people to keep the real star happy ridiculous.....
  13. Radhi Jaidi's first move in his new job? Seriously though, that is without doubt Kiko Rodriguez in the video.....
  14. This is a total myth.
  15. Not sure if he was generally a boo boy, but Carlton Palmer used to get some right stick from a couple of guys near me in the East Stand. I actually thought Palmer was decent for us.
  16. I asked my Turkish source. Nothing to his knowledge to suggest Kazim is coming here....
  17. Of course you can. I saw Darren Kenton. Only reporting what I heard on more than one occasion. Sorry if you don't like it.
  18. Blackpool is a good point, but Guly was hardly our only poor performer in those games.... I do agree about the closing down, but it doesn't come all over the pitch like it does in the Championship. I do see what you are saying, and I guess the proof will be in the pudding next season. Guly is more likely to outfox the likes of Kompany etc. than Sharp is though, I can't believe anyone would argue that? We will see I suppose, but the Premier League is more suited to technical players, which Guly is, that I am certain of. Anyone who says Guly has no skill, can't watch very closely.
  19. Fair enough, but if it was up to me, he would be ahead of Sharp up front.
  20. It is simple logic. The higher the division, the higher calibre of player, the more comfortable on the ball, the more the ball is under control, the less charging around there is. Therefore the more technically gifted players who end up playing at lower levels will look better in the Premier League as they have the time and space to use the ball as they would like. The likes of Charlie Adam are deemed crap in the SPL, then do well in the Premier League? Why? More time and space. We will encounter more teams who play football like us than we did in the Championship. What Adkins has to do better with players like Guly, is know when to play them, and when not. Guly shouldn't have been in the team at Fratton for instance.
  21. Too many jubilee pimms?
  22. If we had Le Tissier in League One and the Championship you would probably be saying the same things about him....
  23. He had a quieter second half of the season, that I I will admit. But.... This coincided with the crowd getting on his back, and being played on the wing more. He is a forward. Fact is, in terms of ability, he is starting eleven from our squad. Without doubt.
  24. Man of the match against Coventry. The style of play is different in the Premier League to the lower leagues. Guly is technically very good. With the added time and space you get at the higher level, he is the type of player, along with Schneiderlin who will thrive. At times this season I saw Guly do things that would go wrong because actually some of our other players weren't on his wavelength, the crowd would blame Guly for it going wrong, when actually he was guilty of nothing more than expecting too much of a team mate. He became a scapegoat. When Lambert missed a chance, the crowd would say things like "Unlucky Rickie", Guly then misses a more difficult chance and get's a torrent of abuse. I had to bite my tongue on more than one occasion in the Kinglsand, as the abuse of Guly became both more ridiculous and unfair, and worse still, bordering on racist. I would start with Lambert and Guly up top in the Premier League with every confidence. We need more technically gifted players, not blood and thunder players.
