Technically speaking. He is the most gifted player we have. In the Premier League he will get more time and space, and should thrive.

Fair point, but NC has said it himself. AP is someone who is "difficult" to get on with, totally different character to NA. I would be far more surprised to hear NA and NC had fallen out, than I would AP.

I don't believe for a second that Alan Nixon (The People) or for that matter Nabil Hussein (BBC) are basing this on anything more than the throwaway comments made by Nigel in the emotional aftermath of the Coventry game. Comments that Nigel has since explained. Do NC & NA have a strained relationship? Perhaps they do. Expectant boss? Not uncommon, especially at a football club, that doesn't mean though that NC is looking to replace him. Is NC friends with RDM? Perhaps. Doesn't mean he is looking to give him a job though. AP was not sacked for footballing reasons. That much we know. So this isn't the same situation at all. I think it is best to not take too much notice of a tiny piece in a football rumours section of a newspaper. NC has got us this far, playing his cards close to his chest, I think we should trust him to carry on doing so!

There IS a trophy for finishing 2nd in the championship. The Football league have denied that it was at Upton Park on the last day of the season, saying that they send it to the club that finishes 2nd after that has been decided.

I'm not sure he is an out and out striker though. Can play on the wing too. Still got quality. You might well be right.
