I appreciate that you bring us inside info, but this just reads like the ramblings of a maniac!

Err no I won't bother at all! I am past 62.

Half way through writing the blog on this, and it is becoming a pretty hefty read. I'm wondering if you lot think it is worth it?

Saints/Pardew fiasco to enter spotlight

Olivier Barnard? -
I'm afraid people look back on Beatties time with us through rose tinted spectacles, he was a very lazy player. He could finish, but if it wasn't for Ormerod doing all his running he would have scored a lot less goals. He definitely had ability but his workrate was poor.
-
Would be a great addition in my opinion.
-
Without Ormerod, Beattie would have been exposed as a very lazy player and wouldn't have scored even half the goals he did. The Beattie/Ormerod partnership was the perfect example of complimentary opposites.

Doesn't look like it. They have apologised for their "embarrassing" response. -

What the majority did vote for was the removal of a completely inept government. -
Hopefully Poyet will win manager of the month, they will have the customary dip in form and we will serve them up a lesson in playing "the Southampton way". I am getting a bit sick of them sitting in our chair.

The Bournemouth fans will be devastated if we have a bigger crowd for Brighton!
-
Looking forward to seeing Ryder in there. Haven't heard of many of the others.

I bet you love champagne swilling socialists though. Anarchists protesting because the state won't pay their uni fees. You couldn't make this **** up. I hope they all get criminal records. If this is the future of our country, a bunch of violent, politically immature no marks. God help us. -
They joined for many reasons, to march, to sail, to fly, they went where they were posted but nobody joins to die. Their leaders talk on TV what else could we have done? But those leaders lost no daughters and none has lost a son. So heres to all our soldiers wherever they may be.....and heres to all their families, I raise a glass to thee...... Wear your Poppy with Pride and support our troops! Lest We Forget.

I assumed the former, but now you have made me think about it! -

It is legal go ahead they are waiting for I guess. -
Take this exactly how you want to. I spoke to somebody today who works for the Daily Telegraph. He told me that the truth behind the Pardew dismissal will be entering the public domain at some point and that several papers are biding their time before printing. He wouldn't tell me what he knew except that:- Neither the club or Pardew come out of it looking good. Somebody was punched. Not Pardew. It will be upsetting to some people at the club. Like I said make of it what you will. I have taken it with a pinch of salt.

Weren't we linked with signing him in the summer?

Brilliant work fellas, the definitive list will be compiled Friday/Saturday.

I think if "waterboarding' a known terrorist stops an act of terror from happening, and saves countless lives then I think it is entirely justifiable.

The Spending Review (tackling the Socialists debt mountain)

Loathed as I am to join this debate 9 pages in, but it strikes(pardon the pun) me as bizarre that anyone can look back on the last government and defend their financial policy, or more aptly non-policy. No one is "happy" about these cuts, unfortunately they are a necessary evil. The "head in the sand" approach by Brown and his cronies got us into this mess and only the exact opposite. Direct action. Will get us out. Having worked in the public sector, I can tell you that if ever there was something that needed shaking up, that is it. It has too long had "a jobs for the boys" feel about it. What people need to do in this situation is stop moaning and get on with it. Striking and industrial action will only heighten the problems not solve them. Keep the faith. I have no doubt that the current government will clear up Labours mess, just like they did in the 1970's. -
Horrible gits. I hate Appletise.

This is going to be the Delgado situation all over again. "They never invited me to Nandos" When will we ever learn?
-
This thread has made me feel sad. I don't earn anywhere close to the wage of a pro footballer, but even I feel above Nandos. Come on lads, don't waste your footballers wealth doing what any pikey can do. Eat in classier establishments.
