  1. My thoughts exactly.
  2. I don't even know who the mods are, which is probably a good sign. I don't envy their job.
  3. Of course this could be a case of NA asking NC for funds, and NC saying you've got to offload a few as well to keep the books balanced. One of NA's targets may be a winger, which might have made JP 3rd choice.
  4. Thanks. Corrected.
  5. Like I said in the other thread "meh". Good player, but only ever shows it in glimpses. When we signed him, both Plymouth and MK Dons fans said the same thing "Good player. Poor attitude."
  6. It's a big "meh" from me if Puncheon goes. Good player, but rarely shows it. Has more bad games than good in my opinion.
  7. ....is training with Pompey after being told by Neil Warnock he will never play for QPR again. If he is available for free, can't help thinking he would be ideal for us. No doubt Pompey will shove him on £20k a week soon though.
  8. Swindon are unlikely to accept less than £2 million apparently. Not worth it.
  9. Latest for those interested. http://www.shoot.co.uk/news/latest_article/C50/leagues_1_2/saints_beleagured
  10. Chuffed they are playing IW. Legendary outfit.
  11. Is it? At least he had the luxury of spending loads of money and a pre-season with the players. Adkins has turned results around without those luxuries. The proof will be the last day of the season. Promoted and he has to go down as a good appointment, condemned to another third tier season, then this thread will be more relevant.
  12. I think Pardew has to take some of the blame. The players weren't fit and that is down to him.
  13. If that is where we are at the end of the season I agree, but from where we were when he took over it is a reasonable return. I presume you weren't happy with Pardew at the end of last season then? After all we finished 3 points off second if you disregard the points deduction.
  14. I don't think it helps that he is clearly first choice and he knows it. Would it harm to start a league game without him. Sign Le Fondre in January and give him some competition.
  15. Carlton Palmer Van basten v Leicester
  16. I rate Harding highly, and what I have seen of Dickson I haven't been impressed. I make no bones that I am not a massive fan of Hammond. I would always have Chaplow and Morgan ahead of him.
  17. The fact is we were poor under Pardew then Wilkins this season, Adkins came in and while performances haven't necessarily been better, results certainly have. At the end of the day it is results that he will be judged on. We are 4 points from second place. Disaster.
  18. I despair at how reactionary some Saints fans are at times. Is it any wonder that we go through managers so rapidly.........
  19. I agree that it is a confidence issue. I wonder if we will regret not cashing in on him when we had the chance. We would have been gutted if we had, but what if he never gets his form back?
  20. Winning while underperfoming = sign of a great team. The fact is, we were shocking this season until he took over. He has turned us into a team that is back challenging for promotion, and he has done it playing better football than we were. We aren't going to win every week. That is football. What has he done to upset you so much?
  21. Davis Richardson Fonte Seaborne Harding OC Morgan Chaplow Lallana Lambert Barnard
  22. I think as I suggested in the build up thread, that Carlisle are/were a tougher prospect than many fans would credit them for. Traditionally slim pickings for Saints so far north, and Carlisle have been doing well. A lot of comments on Lambert being able to play up front on his own. He seemed to do ok at it in plenty of games last season. Still only 4 points from second, and hopefully Brighton's result is sign of a blip. Keep the faith, we have the right manager and a talented squad, but this league is tough to get out of, we were never going to have it all our own way.
  23. Am I being negative if I say I would take a draw? Long trip, Carlisle on form. We should win, but traditionally this is the type of game we struggle in. COYR.
