  1. Always preferred Mitre's myself too, especially the old Mitre Delta's. You hit them, they stay hit.
  2. This. Invest some quality time in just reading through the information on Business Link. It's comprehensive, but broken down into manageable chunks, and has been invaluable for me over the years. Hammy, give me a shout if you want to talk through anything, as I've had businesses, am currently setting up a new one, and even looked into something very similar to what you describe above.
  3. Remember seeing his debut for the reserves at just 15... I put a report on Saintslist about the game and how impressed I was with him... I got his name wrong and called him Gareth Hall or something like that (didn't have a teamsheet), and got an email back from his Mum, offlist, correcting me and thanking me for my comments. Shame I never kept it!
  4. Bottom line is that making any kind of prediction, and certainly saying that 'it's time to accept' this, that or the other so early in the season is just plain silly. Long, long way to go yet, but at least we're moving in the right direction and we should just celebrate that and let threads like this go.
  5. I'm not sure 'epic' covers that... All the aircraft are in Boeing house colours so I imagine these are all test flights, with test pilots, and specifically designed to push the aircraft to its limits? Still excellent landings obviously. What's your crosswind limit on 737-800's Ari? That last one above (what looked like about 25-30 degree angle) must've been some breeze! You're admin, split the thread.
  6. Followed a Merc through Bevois Valley once with the reg: J1PPO
  7. Why take it off indeed... but equally, who really cares? I thought the main reason for it was supposedly that it might 'incite opposition fans'? You score a goal, and emotions flow... have you seen some of the places us fans end up in the Northam when we score?!? We do stupid things, players do stupid things... always thought it was a pathetic rule myself.
  8. I prefer to remember my first visit to Old Trafford: Poor quality, but who cares. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMpjRfOmTjM

Me too. We're in Division 3.
  10. Amazing how some people can see the promise, yet others see nothing except negativity. Actually, no, not amazing really... that's football I guess!
  11. I disagree. The squad showed what they are capable of last season, and I am confident that Adkins can get us back to that level and possibly beyond. This start to the season has been poor, but there is a long way to go.
  12. Nope. Confident we'll gradually improve and move well away from the relegation zone.
  13. We know. We're talking about todays game, not the last 6.
  14. You are, IMO, so wrong, it is unbelievable. Last 4 games we have capitulated and allowed our heads to drop, and the opposition the chance to steal in a get the points. Today we started nervously and were too anxious at times, but improved markedly second half and finished quite strongly. That hasn't happened at all this season and, I would surmise, is down to Adkins giving them a bit of belief and staying power.
  15. I may be wrong, but I thought Player was only allowed to play the commentary, hence it stops at half time and after the final whistle? If I'm wrong I apologise, but I thought that was the case.
  16. Shame we didn't win, but yes, much better second half which shows a significant change in mentality. We kept going, didn't let our heads drop or get frustrated, and showed that physical fitness clearly isn't that bad, and that with a bit more mental sharpness and application we can keep going for 95 minutes. Adkins has only had a short time here, but he has clearly been able to lift the heads a bit and keep them focused for 90 minutes. Something to build on.
  17. Good late pressure but finished 0-0... at least we gave it a good go and stopped the defeats.
  18. Eventually... quiet earlier, but they've improved as the team have second half.
  19. 80th minute and putting more and more pressure on... IMO, puts paid to the comments about physical fitness and shows it has been primarily mental sharpness and confidence that has been lacking... Still plenty of work to do, but this is very promising that we're steadily improving and threatening more as this game has gone on.
  20. Calculated risk, preventing a pass for a clear chance on goal.
  21. Good to hear us actually improving as the game is going on, and having more pressure now, as opposed to getting despondant and letting the opposition improve and come at us. Keep going Saints.
  22. No, patience is the key IMO. If we get caught and go 1-0 down, heads will drop, fans will get on their backs, and Colchester will just sit behind the ball and make it even more difficult for us.
  23. And you expect him to have changed things around in 5 days, and only 3 training sessions do you? That's just completely unrealistic I'm afraid, and with all due respect, the kind of impatience that will kill this club if it continues.
  24. lol. Please tell me you're joking. DM on Solent is right... players need more patience and composure and stop trying to make every pass a killer pass. They're too anxious to score and get ahead... trying too hard at times and overplaying things. A bit of faith and patience required from all.
