It is no longer working man’s game and hasn’t been for years however still many a man’s release at the weekend. If it wasn’t for the camaraderie and the beers I’m not sure I’d rock up for every game though. If we were winning and near top of table the buzz would still be huge for many.

The best way go. Well beats being skinned alive by Afghan women.

Great that VVD won’t be jaded from WC and fit and raring to go in Aug. Yep he will be

What a loyal fan base we have. People who slag off day trippers saying they can’t be arsed. So it is purely being entertained that is the appeal. It’s through thick and thin FFS not abandon when a goal drought. Even some of the nil nils haven’t been too dire.

He has disappointed so far but still has flashes of brilliance. Redmond just disappoints completely so far this season. It’s not as if it ain’t broke

You may need to mix more in the Muslim community? You could link up with SOG and have a day out. -

Do you expect the Muslim Council to endorse gay marriage? -

Many naively seem to think that religious views change easily with the times and get shocked by polls that show the contrary. To expect Muslims to be pro homosexuality is naive in the extreme just as it would be to think the US Bible Belt is going to embrace it. Love a good poll though as condemnation fodder, 99% of Hindus believe in reincarnation. Haven’t these idiots read A Brief History of Time and know we have proved we know everything and God is dead. And if he is alive he has been a liberal since the 60s. -
I get that but easy to get nostalgic over lots of things when you get to certain age. I don’t do anywhere near the number of always I used to and when I do often the most annoying thing of the day will be some of our fans. Homes haven’t changed for me - still a few pints before game catch up with mates, have blind optimism of a victory. Time the walk to seconds before kick-off quick chat with the olds boys who sit near us and then support the team, slag the ref as always. My match day experience hasn’t changed much despite all that sh1te Twitter hashtag stuff. I feel untouched by the boll ocks but then if people watch SSN and listen to Talksport constantly then must inevitably get disillusioned. Stand by it that a few wins will make us all feel better. Until some tw ats start singing VVD’s name and I will go off on one. Not that I don’t get where you are coming from though.

Lack of interest in going to Russia next summer http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/10/10/england-fans-apathy-exposed-lack-world-cup-ticket-requests/ What a surprise and would be a hardy soul that makes that trip. Great award by FIFA

I remember Collin Bell passing my autograph book round the city coach and then giving it back to me. Contrast with Steve Williams closing his door of his Fiat X19 on me. Lost me book though but was all part of the match day ritual as a lad.
-
All this losing interest vanishes if we go on a run of wins.

They’ll be the same cnts that run the club down, run Les down, run Puel down, run Ralph down, have run all the players down at some point, now running Pellegrino down ie a typical fan on here. And praise the ambition and foresight of Everton, Palace, Stoke and WBA. I liked Pelle but money seemed good at time but miss him now. This football business is easy with hindsight

Hey Redmond set up Gabbiadini against West Ham. He’s brilliant he is, top of his game. Undroppable.
-
That’s your definition of England quality then? And you no doubt have seen so much of Winks with all those appearances he has made for Spurs. #noeasygamesatthislevel #mightyLithuania
-
They will be there. Finish 5th and they play some Oceania team. Want them to qualify though
-
Fck me to get an England cap nowadays you basically have to be English and playing in PL. Side today looks like a 4th choice IX. We are doomed Winks, Trippier and Cresswell
-
We had a Rupert FFS

For his mobility

Clearly anyone who does this sort of thing is deranged in some way. Paddock has not been diagnosed as mentally ill but it does appear no cause driving it other than hatred of the human race. Terrorists are believing in a cause - the difference is clear. However if Paddock was called Abdul Mukbhar then no one would be saying motive was unclear. -
Rarely waste a ball? Fck me glad your so intelligent to pin it on Long. Tadic has been brilliant this season we are all just missing it, Next you’ll be bringing out some OPTA stats to back up all his Man of the Match performances.
-
Effort goes a long way. Us fans love a trier. Not Long’s fault he has the goal instinct of a clumsy L2 centre back. Winds me up how many idiots sing Tadic’s name. But they just like a sing song. And not forgetting how upset they get when others don’t singalong with them championing this chap who’d clearly run through walls for Saints such is his commitment to the cause.

Not an important point is it though and hopefully LD’s explanation clarifies. JonnyBoy will support your thinking. -

Who is taking cheep [sic] shots? You keep mentioning the right wing posters and the need for me and others to address them throughout this thread. It doesn’t have to be so polarised. I find Sour Mash a nauseating sad old racist as stated before. Disagreeing with you doesn’t lessen that. The current terrorist threat is predominantly from Muslim extremists and no that doesn’t mean ‘only’, we all understand that.
