I don't agree with the scapegoating. However, looking at Fox's performances this season in isolation... ...if we have PL ambitions (of even being in it!!) he is not good enough. One to move on.

Can't believe you almost managed to go a day without a moan! -
Don't know if anyone else just saw, but on the Fantasy Football show Mikel Arteta had to name his all-time XI of players he has played with. He had Pochettino at CB and as his captain. He said a few words on him: "You could always see he was going to be a manager." "What he doesn't know about football isn't worth knowing." "He's like a chess player, always four moves ahead of you."

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino hopes a new contract can be agreed with winger Jason Puncheon over the coming weeks. Puncheon spent several loan spells away from the club after losing his place in the first team and little over a year ago took to Twitter to criticise Southampton executive chairman Nicola Cortese. The winger threatened to see out the rest of his contract training with the reserves and youth team, but the pair patched up their differences and Puncheon has now become an integral part of the team. "I myself haven't spoken anything about his contract," the Argentinian said, speaking through a translator. "Puncheon is a player I am counting on and he is a player that has certain qualities and skills that are good for the team so, yes, I'd like him to stay."

Mauricio Pochettino: "Shaw and Ramirez are being considered, most are 100% ready to play. But it is down to me who starts." "We might play the same team from Man City, but we pay special attention in training and I am not afraid to make changes." "The players are happy with double training sessions and taking well to it to improve themselves."

Paul Williams..... Channon and Moran have also been guests of the club. Moran even had his charity bike ride publicised by the club at short notice and they let him do a collection at the ground!

1) Yes, the referee can do this. 2) It's up to the referee. Normally as a ref if I am given a club official I just ask for offsides and goal-kicks/corners.

Has he been given permission to play then? I don't see why he shouldn't but some clubs just don't allow it as a general rule.
