VIDEO: Les Reed on Ronald Koeman's future

Exactly. This is all PR and posturing on behalf of the club while Koeman is on holiday. (Worth noting they did the exact same when they appointed Koeman; and when he did sign, they highlighted how it was always calm and well-handled by all parties) We've heard from RK's representatives and the club's main representative (Les), on the same day, so it's all pointing towards an extension. Ronald said he'd be having deeper talks with the club about ambition etc when the season ended, and before his holiday. Well, he's now on holiday and his agents and the legal teams are gathering in the latter stages of the week. Agents and lawyers don't discuss the details of a contract unless the main man - Ronald - has given the green light for them to talk about and draft up contracts for him to sign. All looking positive, if you ask me... (of course some will point to Clyne etc.) -

Yeah and he also did one about being confident about signing up a top manager back in the summer of 2014. That went okay and he's talking about the same bloke now. -

Ronald's agent wouldn't be coming over in the next couple of days if Ronald hadn't signalled to his agent that his talks about the direction/ambition of the club had gone well and left him being up for signing a contract extension. That's my take on it, anyway. -

Reed: “We’re now at the point of getting down to the details of the contract, which is where the agents and lawyers get involved.” -

That's a fantastic video. Willing to admit that I was a bit choked up last night when I saw all the old players, in the old kit, with Nigel in the dugout. Then my eyes panned to the next dugout with a footballing legend sat there, managing the current Saints set-up. Then hearing the old chants and Kelvin's speech - it was brilliant. It just sunk in how far we've come, how quickly we've done it and how great all the guys were who got us there in such good time. Kelvin's clearly been a massive influence on so many people and it's testament to him that those guys turned out, and the fans, also. Looks like he's going to stay here, and too right. He's a hero in my eyes and was part of a set-up that gave me the best years of my life as a Saints supporter in my teenage years. Thank you, Super Kelv.

Two seasons with Koeman. Two record breaking points totals. Two league record finishes. Two European campaigns. Can't say much more. Top manager.

Saints win 4-1 and West Ham lost 2-1 at Stoke. As it stands, we're 5th with United left to play Bournemouth after their abandonment. The lowest we can finish is 6th and Europa League qualification is guaranteed!
