It might mean that, but personally I choose to believe he has more integrity than that. He's not Wayne Bridge..

It takes one injury, and for MoPo and NC to continue firing blanks in their striker search for a couple of weeks...

Note that you decided to post when talking about bringing out all the well-known arseholes... -
Norwich, because of Ruel Fox and Robert Fleck Brighton, because of Baboon-Face

Indeed. Thanks for the timely reminder of what our management are supposed to be aiming for, in word and..ahem..deed... -
I dont understand when he is hungry and desperate to prove himself at this level, why the f**k he is still locked out int he cold, sans squad number, when the management are making such a hash of strengthening the striker department......

Who is to blame for the Summer of inactivity?

Its not about buying for the sake of it. I understand that in the Celta Vigo game, and definitely in the Schalke game, we had trouble getting the ball to someone who could stick it in. He made up for it against Besiktas, but Rickie missed an absolute sitter against Schalke. He cant run at full gas every game... -

You fool. The season starts in less than 2 weeks, and some of the winnable games are in the first few weeks. Its not just about the window closing, we've basically not got in the people we needed quick enough to maximise our points from the relatively easy early run of games. -

I also dont think it will happen now; there is simply too little in the way of rumours going round, too little activity at Ground Zero, so to speak. I think maybe NC and MoPo have given up now it is clear they wont land Damiao, Banega or Osvaldo; maybe after the Austrian trip they think Isgrove has a bigger role to play than originally thought. -

I wouldnt describe the summer transfer results as "inactivity"; we signed two good players we needed, but the fact remains that the job NC and MoPo set themselves is not completed. I think, just like last summer, NC goes OTT with the desire to play flair football and goes after silly unrealistic targets when he thinks of attacking. And again, for the second time today, I really am disappointed at what MoPo has brought in terms of contacts to the transfer game. -
Knock it off with the pedantry. No one here preceeds their opinion pieces with "in my opinion". And it has been fruitless. Have any of the three signed ?

I can only think his stature plays against him. He's as strong as an ox, but not particularly tall.

RNs best 4 frigates ever follow Ark Royal to the scrapheap

F**k diplomacy. Next time spanish jets encroach on Gib airspace, or the next time one of their police boats fire upon innocent British jet-skiiers, in UK territorial waters, we should blow them to pieces. Fed up of seeing chicken-sh*t countires throwing their weight around and HM Government doing f**k all. -
Looks like KP has gone. Game Over.
-
I dont think it is. Doesnt it have Pulaski instead of Crusher in it ? OK, stand corrected.

Will this current squad propel us into Europe?
alpine_saint replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
So, we've had over 50 posts and not one person is seriously suggesting this squad can get into Europe this season. Most are predicting (with satisfaction or not) more mid-table obscurity. IMO that means NC and MP have not done their jobs (in their eyes, NOT mine) over the summer properly. Its a pity, I liked the look of the team, a couple of additions would have made us a force to be reckoned with. -
Gutless England have returned.

I really expected more of Pochettino's contacts within the game, I have to say... -
Siddle will be on soon.
-
Which is a pity, because S2 contains the second-best ever episode of TNG - "The Offspring" (bettered only by the S5 episode "Inner Light")

Stupid comment. -
I doubt that Damiao, Banega or Osvaldo were even in the slightest bit interested in us. We have been wasting our time in a fruitless and embarassing pursuit of these players. Personally wouldnt have minded seeing us going for someone like Arnautovic from Werder Bremen, but then he doesnt play the "southampton way"
