This makes me optimisitic that we are about to see a resurrection of the Patrick kit, seeing as Adidas want our business and have a template to go from (Ajax). Its now or never, it seems....
-
Why not just close it Mike ? Its clearly going to end in tears.
-
No he's not. He knows about submarines.
-
He's served the club well, and he stayed with us when WestHam came calling. Perfectly understandable if he wants to go. If he does, he'll be going with my thanks for helping us back to the big time.
-
What is your major malfunction, Mr Angry from Sneersville ? The statement he has given is already pretty committal without giving specifics, with talk of "history books". He already looks a tw*t if he has to go back on his assertion if the data is concluded to be insignificant.

Throw in black shorts, and I agree.

Astute class subs : Question for DellDays

Whe Matty came on at The Dell to bring us back from 0-3 against Liverpool. [video=youtube;iH-KwbStobw] -
So we are going to look like Stoke City then.
-
Is there any need to be so nasty ? That Patrick template reminded me of the Space1999 asymmetric black/red shirt we had a few years back, so it aint that alien to our kit history.

I think we should stick with NA too. BUT Its not what I or you all think. NC sas a finite window of opportunity here. If he rates RDM, thinks they could have a good working relationship and is already mulling over a change, its probably will happen very quickly, since he will know that RDM is likely to be snapped up soon.

Maybe the time to "check the findings and double check them" is before the lead scientist goes on record saying "This data is gonna be one for the history books. It's looking really good" Personally, I am not convinced about the ability to avoid cross-contamination from the Earth ecosystem with such probes.

Astute class subs : Question for DellDays
alpine_saint replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Lounge
Fascinating. Though, of absolutely no relevance to this discussion, to be honest. -
FFS, Abrahmovic is such an unreasonable demanding bugger. Di Matteo won him his first Champions League title, FFS. And everytime Abrahmovic does this, it has domino effects in the rest of football. I can really see NC going for Di Matteo if he has already decided deep down to change, so Abrahmovic's actions could well have opened the exit door for NA.

Nope. I would expect a custom job, of course, but I couldnt give a sh*t about red and white stripes, and we've had a lot worse in recent times.
-
All that money spent to keep the results quiet - bit late to decide the world isnt ready for the news. Did they send the mission expecting failure ?
-
I want a Patrick return. Something along these lines wouldnt be bad:
-
The change in Puncheon and his relationsship with the club and management is truly remarkable and highlight of the season so far. Just a pity that its probably down to him having a general attitude problem; that he reckons hs is too good for NPC and below.

Charming..

Astute class subs : Question for DellDays
alpine_saint replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Lounge
I didnt slate the RN. If I slated anybody by asking if they were crap, at least in my mind I was thinking of BAE Systems and the MoD. Yes, I would point out inaccuracies. But knowing that I work in a complex engineering environment, with knowledge not exactly understandable or available to the bloke next door, I would not preface or end my answer with something along the lines of "you dont know what you are talking about". For examples, there are a couple in the Motoring section, particularly one about steer-by-wire. Now to your questions : Vanguard collided with L'Triomphant in 2009, Tireless was basically abandoned in Gibraltar for the best part of 2000 with a live steam leak (in fact Tireless is a f**king jinx, having killed 2 crew a few years back), Trenchant has also has a steam leak, and I seem to recall a Daily Mail article a few years back claiming that only one Trafalgar boat was on active service for several months because of a huge backlog of repairs required on the other boats. Oh, and of course the bridge crew of Astute ran her aground off the coast of Skye on 2010. You tell me (if you have the freedom to), how close were any of those to a loss ? Oh, and shall we talk about the Upholders, the subs that nearly sank when they fired torpedos ? -
In all the other efforts by other posters, I have been able to see the humour. This was just plain nasty. You really are unpleasant.

Astute class subs : Question for DellDays
alpine_saint replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Lounge
I hadnt decided anything. I wanted to know if it was true that after 10bn investment, Astutes cannot hit their design targets. Dont forget, someone supposedly in the know set that speed target in the first place. I work in an environment where such failures to reach design targets are pretty damn catastrophic for business and often life-and-limb. And because my business is safety-critical and most of our quality standards are akin to MIL-STD specs, I can imagine the impact such failures could potentially have in your environment, though you imo dont have the awareness of the commercial impact like I do. -
Astute class subs : Question for DellDays

He broke it to then explain the reactor issue belatedly, did he ? Sorry, dont buy it VW. He wants to lord his know-how over those he considers ignorant. Anyway, more interested in the sandwiches, now that I can sleep safely knowing that the Astute, Ambush and her sisters are valliantly defending my way-of-life, albeit with the maritime equivalent of a Zimmer frame... -
Up and down the country, perhaps even the around world, football fans of every club are asking "Beckham - would you take him?". This is why I despise him and his miserable stick-insect wife so much. He either knows EXACTLY what he is doing next already - which club, full-time modelling, who knows (and remember, hes got kids who need f**king schooling now), or he is deliberately seeking attention - who is going to bend over the most for him. Otherwise, why wasnt his next move info included with the news he was leaving LA Galaxy ? They are clearly bored or missing the limelight - not enough paparazzis waiting for their miserable viasges in airport lounges any more. Why dont the pair of them just F**K OFF and buy their own private island ???
