I just find it a crying shame that it has come to this. Under NC we have achieved things that Rupert Lowe could only have dreamed of (though he was more likely to dream about sizeable share dividends anyway). Hes had a tough job achieving this, imo; my impression is that we were a lazily-run club with an air of familiarity, complacency and decay. NC has undoubtedly shaken this up and put noses out of joint. For me its no coincidence that MLT is one of his biggest critics; a player with ability and potential by the bucketful, but utterly bone-idle. Forgetting that we have (hopefully) temporarily lost our way this season, we are a much more professionally-run outfit nowadays that just needs an injection of a bit more quality in the squad and both on- and off-field management; I just hope we have the time still to correct this. All those drawing comparisons between Cortese and Joe Stalin need to remember that actually NA is still in charge of the team and has his chance to turn things around.

Look at some of the points above about me being persistently negative. It annoys people. Why does the main site have to be clogged with repeated threads like this. They are annoying too. I dont give a damn what LGTCs plans for Saturday are. And I care even less about what he thinks about how the rest of our Saturdays should look like. The "Adkins Out" threads following the latest defeat all get locked. The mods are forever trying to consolidate themes to a single thread. Anyway, I promised to leave quietly...

Erm, no, actualy. A few on here believe NA has insisted that he do things his way for a bit. My "vivid imagination" referred more to my level of detail as to how the discussion went. I do believe some sort of understanding has been reached where NA goes it alone and takes responsibility for it.

Yep. The scales have really fallen from my eyes over this in the last couple of years. America has no friends. Only relationships to exploit. I was reading up about the history of the Manhattan Project recently. They would never have got LittleBoy and FatMan ready in time without the support of our Tube Alloys scientists (at the time the US decided to take Manhattan seriously, we were further ahead). Once they got the thing ready, they shut us out of the research results, managed to stop British scientists seeing the Hiroshima detonation (despite Presidential order from Truman) and almost managed to prevent our scientists seeing Nagasaki too. We had to reverse-engineer the entire device for Operaton Hurricane.
