Should Brighton be investigated for Saturdays game ?
alpine_saint replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Right, then STFU. You have no right to judge the discussion as ridiculous if you dont even want to consider the facts of the events. -
The only 100% certain starters for me would be Jos and Rickie. Lallana and Sharpe would have a lot to prove to me over the summer. But they would get whatever help I could offer. Very uncertain about Kelvin. We need to at least start thinking about his replacement.

Anyone....ANYONE ? want to try to explain why Gussie The Baboon-Faced One didnt try and turn the game around for over 40mins ???? -
Yes, I say things about you all the time. I am always threatening you with violence like you have just done, arent I ? I have 50 people absuing me on here, yet I focus on poor......little...........you. I think your obsession with me has reached some sort of critical point now you've resorted to making things up.....

Apart from the fact that you are assuming a collective decision making process involving chairman, manager and all the players. Dont be so ridiculous. -

Answer : He did nothing for over 40mins. Not conclusive, but not exactly exonerating either..... -

I dont know how the game went because I didnt see it. I will check the answer to the question I am about to ask in a minute. Question: seeing as how utterly tits up it was going, and taking your post into account, how soon Did Poyet CHANGE the team with substitutions to try to get the game back on the rails and therefore try to save his play offs campaign ? -
Nigel Farage confirms that some Tory MP's are in discussions to defect
alpine_saint replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
Superb. Bring it on. I sometimes wonder if Clegg and Cameron actually discussed manifesto compatability before agreeing to a coallition. Everything the Tories said they would do, they have renegged upon. The LibDems have a ridiculous amount of power considering just how many MPs they bring to the parliament majority. I suppose it at least got rid of Brown. They are full of power hungry control freaks that leak to the press as soon as they fail to stop something. A eunuch has more balls than Cameron thanks to them. This government aint working. The Tories should call a spade a spade and call an election and fight it on real Conservative policies. Make David Davis leader. Call it now before the stupid Labour party and unions finally wake up to the total irrelevance and unelectability of Ed Millband. In the meantime, UKIP should field a full number of candidates and get out there canvassing. They might get a few seats, and if so maybe they can tip the balance. -

The absolutely ear-steaming outrage that this sheer notion has caused is really quite shocking. Is there some sort of refusal to consider the possibility because it means we as SFC fans and our clubs have all been made monkeys uncles out of the situation or something ? Up to 90 MILLION pounds windfall rides on being promoted. If you all want to deny that there is absolutely no chance that with such money at stake someone doesnt try to increase the odds of their interested party, you are totally naiive and bonkers. The days of cucumber sandwiches on the village pavillion at tea during an Sunday afteroon cricket match in modern-day sport is GONE. Its all about MONEY. -

I was talking about sentencing, FFS. I actually have no idea if he is innocent or guilty of the offence. The OP said he didnt expect a custodial sentence. The judge decides the sentence. -

no, but he cares a lot about his son, as his continuing feud with the BBC clearly demonstrates. -
Of course it is. Its just that those who are feeling less positive about it (and apparently should be banned for our troubles) are wondering about the likelihoods. Personally I reckon we are facing our toughest week of the season now, simply because of the backdrop we go into these games on, not because of the opposition per se.

Yep, 4 points from 12. I'd love to live in WAZZAs world...

As was Dog with the 12" rubber cock idea. Have you read any of his other posts ? Just look at his avatar FFS.

And what does that say about you having worked that out and taken the time to write it ?

I was happy to elaborate on my opinion. Perhaps if you had described my efforts as something less than an "utterly stupid argument", you might have conversely received a more respectful response. -

If you find my footballing opinions so, fine. You are entitled to that opinion. My reference to dune's tedium is his incessant playing of the man and not even the slightest attempt at the ball. One is against the site rules, the other is not. I'll leave you to work out which is which. You seem like a reasonably bright chap. -
Neither can I, apart from the fact he is innocent until proven guilty. Having said that, if he has got a b'stard of a judge who wants to make an example of him...

Which is why we lost to Blackpool, Reading, Bristol City, Doncaster, Leicester, Cardiff - even though we were top. The table means nothing, and means even less on a tight run-in like this.

Should Brighton be investigated for Saturdays game ?
alpine_saint replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
No, it was a good effort. The only thing I would take issue with is "Brighton good enough to beat us". They are not. But, if we meet them in the first playoff round having just f**ked up auto promotion following 8-odd months at the top of the table, we wont be in a fit state of mind to play anywhere near to our potential and so they WILL win. I said they would beat us, not that they are better than us. -

Right, so they didnt want the playoffs desperately to start with then. I thought they had this massive, burning desire to get to the playoffs and be promoted, that totally precludes any consideration of a bung ??? -
Top 5 reasons not to give a f*ck if we go up or not
alpine_saint replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
I couldnt give a sh*t. I am not familiar with the comedy series in question, but it is still drawing on racial cliches and stereotyping to make a negative point.
