  1. Nope, but its not a guarantee of failure either.
  2. No you didnt. What if NA thinks he is the right man - do you think NC should break the wage structure a bit ? This automatically assumed NA was willing to do the same, FFS. I was asking your opinion, you blathered on about NA.
  3. And I get accused annoying people with opinion stated as fact...
  4. You've just turned the discussion completely on its head there. Doesnt seem much point continuing with this if you shift the goal points and then dismiss my responses as irrelevant.
  5. No, sorry, dont see that one at all. I think you are over-analysing this.
  6. What if NA thinks he is the right man - do you think NC should break the wage structure a bit ? Sorry, you are superimposing your opinion of Sharp onto what I thought was a general discussion of transfer policy. The argument being made about the need for a striker (by more than just me) is the injury to Barnard, the unreliability of Connolly, the ineffectiveness of Forte and a "what if" about Lamberts availability (now a reality)
  7. Doesnt mean others are incapable of stupid hysterical posts.
  8. Are you serious ? If the leaders of the three parties plus the SNP came together and agreed to separate the voting on regional vs Union issues in the name of taking the heat out the burgeoning constitutional crisis of Scottish independence, I dont see any reason why the British people would get uppity about it. After all, both this goverment and the previous one lied about giving referenda over the EU and there was no short-term comeback. Only Pie-Face would find some way to exploit such discussions and f**k them up for political advantage, you can be sure.
  9. Oh god, the next round of incessant whinging.
  10. Then of course comes the silly extreme response...
  11. Its not irrelevant. Leicester are not succeeding because they are trying to buy promotion by throwing money at the situation and buying anything decent that moves. Completely different from identifying who your team really needs as part of your squad development plan and being willing to break the bank a bit to fit that missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle.
  12. No, I dont agree. If the likes of Clegg, Huhne, Hughes and Cable orchestrated a coallition collapse on the basis of English MPs voting on an English issue, they would cast their party into the political wilderness for a generation. Even they arent that stupid (I think).
  13. Not where we are, but its pretty bad in West Tyrol and Vorarlberg. Hope the avalanche warnings have returned to normal by your visit.
  14. Only repeating what I read somewhere in the media last week. I get accused of making my opinion sound like fact, so whats your source of reference for this statement of fact ?
  15. We had different ownership considerations then.
  16. Then Labour and the LibDems would get hammered by English voters at the polls for playing politics with an English issue by using British votes for a no-confidence vote. So I dont think it would happen.
  17. What a load of hysterical nonsense. And I am not Austrian.
  18. I agree with you, but it takes time and requires political will for a full working solution. I have suggested (thought I made it clear) something that could take the heat out the situation in the meantime.
  19. Sorry, I really dont see the complexity that you see. It has nothing to do with constitutional values. English MPs vote on English issues, Scottish MPs vote on Scottish issues, all MPs vote on British issues. Those which are British or English / Scottish are already defined by the remit of the Scottish Parliament.
  20. Wonder what he'd answer ?
  21. Scholes only retired last year and has probably kept himself in shape. Matt, on the other hand...
  22. I am in favour of the MPs of Scotland, England, Wales and Ulster deciding local policy for their regions, then coming together in a greater assembly to deal on common issues such as foreign policy and defence. The challenge is how to implement upper house oversight on the regional assemblies. There are questions to be answered and discussions to be had before such structural changes can take place (we would need to check they are workable), but in the meantime in the interest of good relations and to take the heat out of the situation Scottish MPs nevertheless could stop voting on English issues.
  23. How am I supposed to distinguish your poor attempt at humour from the scores of abusive posts and PMs I am getting ?
  24. Right, so anyone who gets up your nose in the stands, or on the match thread during the game, because of their opinion, should be sectioned ? Rightyho.... Think you should go fix that tap...
