I think those of you being abusive are the foolish ones. Other teams have already signed players. A window from 01.01 - 31.01 means exactly that. Not 24.01 - 31.01. We could have had one player in by the weekend game if we really had wanted to. The window is for transfers not for negotiations.

That's a toughie. If it is because NC didnt support getting in the players needed, then clearly the answer is no. If its because he failed to identify what he needed, or got what he needed but the team choked, then there is a case to be made.

Adkins is talking about the end of the month. By then another 4 or 5 cr*p results that kill our promotion chances may have occurred. THEY HAVE HAD AT LEAST 3 MONTHS TO IDENTIFY WEAKNESSES AND TARGETS. THE SIGNINGS SHOULD HAPPEN THIS WEEK. ANYTHING ELSE IS PONCING ABOUT. What sudden injury has happened this week that has left the team short and our tactics exposed ?

Fair comment, its just frustrating to see opportunity being wasted. We could have had a commanding lead by now. And for every counselling against sounding tragic, an equal argument could be made against aggression and intolerance of other opinion. All the best for 2012.

Good post. I think we've seen the last of him, sadly. I cannot see how someone who sustained a life-threatening head injury will ever be able to play professional sport involving head contact again.

Dalek saying we will finish 17th, and continuing it even now is somewhat absurdly negative. There is still no evidence to support that. I still reckon we can we win the league and get promoted if the management act NOW, not the end of January. However, our current form is total pish (we have far too many "off nights" to be acceptable) and if we leave the absolutley vital transfer activity to the end of January (and maybe fail to close it), the boat is going to leave and we are going to end up mid-table because our results over January and February are going to be poor. Dont forget that there is a group of posters on here who maintain that squad strengthening is not necessary, and another group who thinks we should just be grateful with what we have achieved so far this season because it was unexpected and dont seem too bothered if we sustain it or not. I find that to be bizarre. I think this viewpoint is reasoned and not overly-negative, and fail to understand why it attracts so much abuse.

There may be quite a gap in terms of quality, but both offer pace from the wing and therefore a tactical option. I am glad you found my post funny; you must be a bit of a laughing gimp to have missed my point though...

Yep, its really f**king offensive. I know of at least one person during my time at Uni who killed himself during finals in this manner, and its continual refrain on here is disgraceful. I have never thought of topping myself due to a Saints result.
