It simply seems to me AP was pulling in another direction to NC and the Liebherrs. I wonder if AP was taking promotion that seriously too - he was making noises about the cups again.

I agree about splitting the sessions, but sending them home ? How can they break into the first team if they cannot show what they are doing in training ?

I think it is an allusion to this rumour going round that AP liked to send people home from training that were not in his plans for the next game, hence creating a two-tier squad. I have never heard of any other manager doing this before. Hardly the same as turning up at Staplewood with a monogrammed track-suit and picking the team.

What digs? All he said was that those casting judgements dont have a clue about running a club. And its true, MLT hasnt got a clue. And this came after Matty had offered his fivepennyworth about the possibility of AP being sacked in the summer. And I seem to recall Matty's tone then was more aggressive than NCs. I think this is still going back to the Pinnacle business.

On what basis are you saying it is de-railled ? That we got a good win last Saturday ? The camapign never got going. A crap pre-season and poor transfer activity saw to that. We will never know now if Saturdays result was papering over cracks. With a new manager, the campaign can get going and still be playing less catch-up than last season.

Think today is more about watching what our competitors get up to, rather than expecting anything at SMS. A very disappointing transfer window...

MLT occupies a special pace in all our hearts, which means when he says something, not only does everyone listen but various forces attempt to use his comments in a way to suit their agenda. I am willing to accept this was intended to be an innocuous comment reacting to the news and the reasons being bandied about for it, and I have always been sure that his involvment with Pinnacle was nothing more than him trying to do his bit to save the club. But why does he allow himself to be put in this position, FFS ?

I can imagine without much contemplation that NC was mightily p*ssed by the Orient performance and result. The game was billed as the big farewell to his friend and mentor, and some of the family were there. Pardew's Bolton comments were a flip of the middle finger, and there are these increasingly loud voices mentioning issues at Staplewood. I reckon NC minded for various reasons at the beginning of the summer to give AP a second chance, or enough rope to hang himself, possibly against the counsel of Markus. What happened in pre-season and over the first 3 weeks of the season clinched APs fate. I dont know just how arrogant AP is, but I wont forget that incredibly rude post-match interview he gave at SMS during the early spring period.

Its difficult to say without knowing who is coming in. I look at our players and although we still lack the pacey winger, this team should be able to win promotion outright. Perhaps if the new boy has a bit more tactical nous and understanding of the use of subs, we could argue our chances have improved.
