  1. Why cant we ever win the battle of wills/tactics/strength against teams managed by the likes of Aidy Boothroyd and Billy Davies ?
  2. Not very dependable despite his apparent quality, imo.
  3. Maybe. I am more worried that we cannot overcome the top half-dozen teams at all, despite our supposed quality. These sort of results will have a great impact on how our season pans out.
  4. For me, if there is such a difference in performance between first half and second half, AP has got his starting selection and/or motivation/preparation desperately wrong. Yes, we are winning more games than in recent years and we feel good, but something significant is missing from the team still.
  5. And the result garners a gleam of respectability it barely deserves, and everything is alright with the world again As someone wrote, the message for today is that we are a mid-table side.
  6. Yep. Things are beginning to work themselves out now, settling into an equillibrium. And despite some good wins, we arent as good as we thought. Today is really disappointing.
  7. Colchester have really turned into a bogey team for us..
  8. Any team containing Idiakez, possibly the biggest waste of space and money in Saints history.
  9. And his persistent and tiresome sermonising about attendance ? You call that positive ?
  10. I consider that distinction to be sophistry. Illingsworth could always correct the Echo and Sky, and if they persist in referring to him as the "voice of the fans", he could refuse to speak to them. But no, he secretly likes it because he loves the attention and fawning, and whenever his comments cause uproar by being wide of the mark of the fan base, he holds his hands up and comes out with the line about his personal viewpoint and never claiming to speak for us. As St Marco wrote, he was willing to do some serious a*se-kissing to Lowe last time round.
  11. Thats not what I meant. I meant if loan clubs counted, we should send Lallana out on a very short loan to stop him being pilfered.
  12. Sweet ! Does it count loan clubs ? Maybe we should lend Lallana to Bournemouth for a week.
  13. Superb news. (lets see how long you last not scratching that obsessive stalking itch...)
  14. Happy Christmas, Frank
  15. Why havent you got the balls to admit you wish your "dream team" of Roopey and Georgie were still in charge instead of trying to masquerade as a boring one-dimensional shrub trying to stimulate a debate which doesnt exist ?
  16. Brilliant. Our Chairman publishes an uplifting message about the future of the club, and sad b**stards like SOGGY, still seething at how their twin Messiahs of beetroot-faced bullying pig farmer and clueless Scottish soak got unceremnoniously turfed out, turn it into an argument. What a superb fan-base we have...
  17. But if you know we arent good enough yet, why are you disappointed we lost to the run-away leaders by the narrowest margin possible ? We might well miss the playoffs, but this result isnt to blame. It will be games like the Brighton and Orient game that are to blame.
  18. No, we needed to beat Brighton, beat Orient and we needed something from the Bristol Rovers game. If we miss the playoffs by a sliver, I for one wont be looking back at this game.
  19. P17, W13, D2, L2. What a load of sh*t. I really cannot believe people are bleating about the Leeds result.
  20. Isnt that a little OTT, R ?
  21. I aint ignoring anything. This was a creditable result against the leagues run-away leaders. Being scared of the "threat" of Swindon is pathetic. We will be competing for a play-off place after Xmas. If you reckoned we were just going to breeze past Leeds and everyone else you are a bit dim.
  22. Agreed. My feelings exactly.
