  1. We all have a common goal here and that is for Saints to be successful. It we want to live within our means, the only way we can afford to become better is to generate more income. One way is to get more money through the gates and if we are turning fans away (plastic or otherwise) then that is not a good thing. Dynamic pricing is a dangerous thing as you risk ****ing off the most loyal fans but if this can be achieved without doing this then I'm all for it if it brings in more money. However I don't think we even need it if we have a big enough flexible stadium. Having a stadium that we sell out most weeks IMO means we are missing out on funds and creating the need for such things like dynamic pricing. Turkish you are right, we need to wait and see what happens in the next season or two. Hopefully we do sell out most games and we do expand
  2. As I said I'm not really for the easy jet way but I also don't care why people come to watch Saints as their money is the same as anyone elses. As long as the atmosphere is good and the money gets through the door the club benefits. I have watched aussie rules football in oz, baseball in the US, ice hockey in Canada etc and the reason I managed that is their stadiums had the capacity not just to cope with the die hard home fans.
  3. Yes but I would start to get ****ed off if I had to pay £75 for every match I went to and that would also mean the stadium was too small.
  4. I can't argue with you there as I agree.
  5. I'm not condoning the system just said I would pay a higher price for a ticket if that was the only way I could get one.
  6. Of course I wouldn't but if paying £75 was the only option then I would and it might make me try harder to look at alternative ways of getting a ticket earlier thereby creating a bigger demand for tickets etc.
  7. I'm more interested if there are people on here, season ticket holders especially, who would rather see the ground full most weeks even if it meant turning fans away rather than have the embarrassment of empty seats. I'm just interested that all. Like I said in L1 I could go to any match I wanted which really helpped my circumstance.
  8. I'm fortunate that the price wouldnt stop me going so if there were tickets for £70 I'd go anyway and selfishly I'd prefer it as that price would put a lot of people off so I'd have a better chance of going.
  9. I am not a season ticket holder as I work a lot of Saturdays and am away lot but I do try to get down to SMS when I can. The reason I asked the question regarding whether people on here prefer a ground that is filled most weeks where a lot of fans are turned away or a ground that is over sized for their average needs is because I went to SMS far more in the last 3 seasons than I did while we were in the prem. Price of tickets was not an issue, it was just games were already sold out by the time I went to get tickets. I think it'll be a shame if I dont get to go as much this coming season. Unfortunately sometimes I haven't got the luxury of getting a general sale ticket the minute it goes on sale. From a purely selfish reason I want a bigger stadium so I can go to more games but this does raise he question 'how many are there like me?' and 'how much money does the club lose because of this?'
  10. I'll ask this as a question and not a statement so sensible replies please. Do we need to sell out every match? Last season we had the flexibility to sell far more tickets than our average for the big games bringing in very important revenue. We also had the flexibility to have a large family area etc. Is it good to have a stadium a fair percentage bigger then your average needs? If so then 32k isn't big enough if we average 30k+ next season. Or is it better to have a stadium that we do sell out most weeks, turning fans away for the bigger matches and far less flexibility on family areas etc.
  11. Needs to be next to the water for wood supply I believe. Hope it doesn't stink?
  12. I actually started to feel sorry for them for a fraction of a second, but luckily that feeling didnt last long. For Penny to blame footballing authorities for all this really wound me up. In all honesty what else could they have done? If the Russians hadn't taken over they would have went to the wall anyway. If the authorities had stopped the Russians and they did go pop, there would have been a uproar especially as the Russians had proof of funds. It's unfortunate for them but when are they going to admit that if the club was run correctly they wouldn't have had a run in the prem and 2 FA cup finals. Now they are PAYING THE PRICE for that. It's called justice. Rant over
  13. Depends on how much his salary is. If he's realistic then it's good to have him in the squad. If he's managed to negociate good prem wages then I'm not sure he's worth it.
  14. I'd be inclyned to agree with you
  15. Anyone living in or near South Carolina? I'm off there in a week or so with work for 2 weeks. Should be a bit of a culture shock.
  16. Get well soon and great advice.
  17. I do agree with you in a ideal world but I'd rather have a little more money to spend on players, academy, stadium etc than not have their money at all.
  18. Money? If they stop saints fans coming to the ground then yes otherwise why wouldn't we want their money?
  19. Surely as secured creditors they have just as much right to the PPs as chinny, why would they spread that over a number of years? I can see why chinny wants them gone.
  20. My tip is double check your destination if you are using a Sat Nav.... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/news/7931558/Sat-nav-mistakes-when-technology-fails.html Two Swedish holidaymakers were attempting to reach the island of Capri but ended up 400 miles away in an industrial town at the other end of the country after mistakenly typing "Carpi" into their sat nav.
