Sometimes it’s just the right man, for the right job, at the right time. Clearly we recruited very well, bringing in the right man, who did everything we could reasonably have asked of him. I have no time for people who demand that he should have won League 1 and the Championship. George Burley showed that you can’t just throw money at a squad and expect results and Nigel beat two much better financed teams in West Ham and Leicester. If you want to talk about the money spent then fine, we should have beat Reading and finished third behind those two.
