In fairness, I'd still have them over Long and JWP.
-
I know we aren't great but I'd be expecting a draw or narrow loss personally. I don't know what all these spanking predictions are based on. It's Maddison and Vardy, not Kaka and Rivaldo.
-
Sorry, I did see your PM but I don’t deal with the financial stuff. I’ll send Baj a text now.
-
For ten minutes there I was almost tempted to jump in the car and go to the game. Thank goodness I managed to overcome that urge.
-
Certainly wasn’t the case against Burnley or Spurs. Gaps and mistakes everywhere.
-
I believe it’s almost instant. I’m sure I read somewhere it’s all done with cameras and sensors on the gantry. There must be some failsafe to ensure these kinds of accidents don’t (or rarely) happen. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in use whereby there were clear roads with national speed limit, with the hard shoulder available for driving.
-
Is that not the idea though? The hard shoulder lane is only used when its particularly congested, in which case the traffic would be doing about 40 and any breakdown would lead to the lane being closed anyway, with a massive red X.
-
Are you talking about the player or what you’re going to wear?
-
The do a decent job of keeping busy traffic moving, so I think they are a good idea in the right places. If they were going to do something around here, I’d rather they made the feeder road into the city from junction 7 a dual carriageway. The backlog from that seems to go half a mile down the slip road, as swell as gridlocking half of Hedge End.

So the fact that some fans call him 'Big Cock' is purely coincidental, along with the fact that they've not made this joke about the dozens of black players they've had over the last several decades? Fair enough, I'm sure they were just being ironic anyway.
-
I'm not saying it was smart or appropriate, although that's entirely down to the fact that it's a 10ft poster of a bloke waving his schlong around IMO. The original picture has been a meme popping up in most of my Whatsapp groups for about two years now. The whole point of the 'joke' is, "haha I made you look at a photo of a blokes massive todger," not, "haha, look at this silly black man!" Somebody has simply taken this and put Origi's face on it, presumably because of the nickname 'Big C*ck', which is just a pun on 'Divok'.
-
Paying them off won’t achieve anything, we’re better off loaning them out even if we cover 90% of the wages.

https://www.caughtoffside.com/2019/10/23/liverpool-slam-highly-offensive-and-racist-divock-origi-banner/ So ‘racist’ now just covers anything which is any way rude, which involves a black person in some way.

Whatever Tesco have done to their self service checkouts, which makes them sh*t themselves when I try and put a plastic bag in the bagging area.
-
Just PM each other this crap.
-
Okay, now it’s really funny.
-
Why even use VAR if you’re going to ignore what’s right in front of you on the screen? Funny seeing angry Scousers but seriously...
-
Give it a rest with the, "*made up nonsense* - according to some," posts. It's becoming very tiresome.
-
This will probably come down to 1% of the fans at 1% of the games in England. 0.01% is hardly indicative of an ingrained problem.
-
Cahill may have been okay for a short term fix but he's 34 in December, wanted a 2 year deal and pretty hefty wages (which is a serious issue for us right now). Plus he may or may not have wanted to stay in London. Wanyama is way over the hill with injuries and isn't worth a punt. No denying we're weak in other areas but we badly needed a striker. When Ings was injured last season, we were hopelessly lacking up front.
-
VAR at the moment is like buying a car, driving it into a wall and then complaining that it’s the worst car you’ve ever owned because the steering is bent and the engine won’t turn over. I was astonished when that David Silva penalty wasn’t given at Bournemouth. How anyone can watch a replay of that six times and not realise it’s the most blatant stonewaller ever I’ve no idea.

Not really, we've been capable of clangers at home to average teams since time immemorial. We lost at home to Cardiff under Poch, Swansea under Koeman and Bristol City when we got promoted under Adkins. All four of those teams are better than Sheff U, Brighton, Burnley and probably Wolves.
