That's where i disagree. I think we've likely at best stood still. I struggle to see where the necessary goals are going to come from unless someone makes a huge leap.
-
We don't have enough up front.
-
Some good signings but a massive glaring hole as far as centre forward is concerned.
-
Edozie’s crossing really is terrible, can’t even cross a border
-
If so its horribly depressing that we've gone from Che Adams to someone with an even worse premier league average goal return thus far.
-
Hopefully they are so impressed by stepovers they sign him permanently.

We should all have a recent clear recollection of what a terrible and expensive an idea it is to try and correct summer transfer failings in January.
-
I would be nice if we didn’t have to settle for either a competent keeper or a competent centre forward.
-
So the aim is to repeat Sheffield united’s relegation trick then
-
It’s hard for me to get too excited about when it seems we’re not addressing the glaring hole at the other end of the pitch.
-
That’s a pathetic strategy. Aribo is barely good enough to play in midfield at this level let alone up front.
-
Is the club’s aim to score a record low number of goals and beat the record held by derby.
-
Instead it’s rather poor window, like signing bazanu and thinking we’ve the goalkeeper position sown up in our relegation season.
-
Was it not the alternative to a. Armstrong?
-
Not my preference but certainly massively better option than relying on the pitiful central striker options we currently have.
-
Would be criminally negligent if were left with no central strikers other than unproven archer and the invisible man Stewart.

Aaron Ramsdale - Official: Loaned to Newcastle
Baird of the land replied to Saint Fan CaM's topic in The Saints
Really did not expect that to happen. Massive upgrade over bazanu and mccarthy. still huge issue of a target man to resolve. -
Didn’t like idea of signing 2 cheap cb’s at the time.
-
Being leaky as a sieve against championship opposition is concerning.
-
Disappointing but expected news. Was really hoping he'd break in, strengthening our anemic midfield.
-
I never thought he was but if he does well on loan he'd likely have lots of options.
-
I just don't see why he'd want to commit himself in that way rather requesting a standard loan deal.
-
Curious why Ramsdale would want to sign up to a loan with an obligation to a struggling premier league club.
