Don't get the issue. Seemed just completely celebratory to me, not at all weird. Players didn't seem uncomfortable and seemed very happy going in for the hugs. Cheek kissing may not be british but it is a very european thing.

I struggle to understand what people expected Manning to be. He's a 27 year old free agent from Swansea. If he was particularly good he'd have been snapped up by prem earlier or now. We needed someone steady in that position and he's familiar with the manager's system and free which made him attractive to us. Our other options are a tny constantly injured ex man city kid, a player Walsall considered atrcious, a kid who struggled against Gillingham & a player who has been injured all preseason and is likely going to be going to be sold.

Adam Armstrong wasn't worth $18M in 2021. To me given inflation he's worth much more especially given we've already made major sales, deadline is close and will struggle to replace him with someone with a similar goal record.
-
First half he passed the ball straight to a plymouth striker, fortunately they messed up the attack.

Spain were head and shoulders the better team. Could have been a much bigger margin of victory if not for a poor penalty and some heroics from earps. I thought england were lucky to beat Spain in the euros too.

That would really annoy me. Not only losing a good player but losing him for a relatively small fee. Really hope the club show some ambition and keep him.
-
one was the goal. What was the other one, i can't think of anything of note?

Really impressed by Charles. Showed real maturity, especially after he got that harsh booking for accidental handball. Tella, showing again why imo we shouldn't even countenance selling him. Had concerns when i saw A.Armstrong in the deeper role but he was really good, that saving tackle in the last seconds exemplifying his effectiveness. Still not convinced by the defence or goalie. Hopefully they can better gel and we can make the oddtelling buy.

Where in midfield does Doyle play?

At the start of the summer I was leaning towards taking the money and reinvesting it. given how well he’s doing and the financial rewards of promotion the 12-15m loss from him walking on a free should be acceptable surely
-
He was average today. Made an error playing out early on, would still view the rush out as rather rash. Can’t really judge shot stopping as apart from their goal I can’t remember any shots he had to save.
-
What ever could have put him off. (Signing his teammate and refusing to cross the ball.)
-
Wilcox answer regarding sales slightly worrying. (unexpected bids considered from a business perspective even if we can't replace) Russell Martin very personable, his whole called loyal because he was no good was a nice answer.
-
Ahh doh, see Luton have gone for a different old veteran GK in Krul.
-
Good to see nothing has changed in the premier league. A system that is apparently supposed to detect clear errors looks the other way because it would affect a big team.
-
So are Chelsea planning to play lavia alongside caicedo, or is lavia going to be bench sitting. You’d think Liverpool would make more sense from a playing perspective.
-
Sure that would go down well with the Bazanu haters. Let's get the young guy who is behind him internationally.
-
he at least has a bit of pace, which we badly need in whoever comes in.
-
ahh i thought he had 2 years left like Tella. Noise makes more sense now.
-
Why would we sell smallbone for 10m? if it was 30m I guess I could get it.
-
Thought Madley was bad as ref during Wednesday game. Having watching league highlights i see we got the good Madley. Booking a player for celebrating his first goal in front of his teams fans.

Agree on cm, cb and striker situation if/when sulemana goes i’m Curious what will happen. Edozie is not finished product (not great today) & under23 kid looks a decent impact sub. I’d want a more senior player to compete with them.
-
Awful for the disallowed goal. He did come out and make a nice block later when it looked like their sub was going to score. Think he's very mediocre but we've put ourseves in a bind by extending Mccarthy and signing him, so just got to hope he keeps errors to a minimum.
-
I'd say he's a steady championship player, which is why at 27 he's playing in it. Clearly offers something in this system going forward but i'm not 100% convinced by him going the other way.

Definitely Manning
