  1. Fit and proper person?
  2. Yes, I agree. The thing is, that new "AFC Skatesmouth" will have no history whatsoever.
  3. no it won't Bye bye P*mpey, P*mpey bye bye ;-)
  4. It seems strange that we had one cheque for, what, £4k (?) bounce and we were straight into admin, while PFC get away with repeatedly failed to pay £millions in wages on time, but so far have got away with it scott-free. I know nothing about high finance, but it seems strange to me. Surley they've had some cheques bounce before now?
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bT_DZuT8euw This hasn't been linked for a couple of pages....I'd hate for any browsing skate to miss it ;-)
  6. I can perfectly understand the Lens' - how long until UEFA or FIFA become involved? Apart from bending over backwards to help the Skates out, what is the richest league in the world's governing body doing? Are they panicing as it doesn't seem too far fetched that P*mpey will not be able to complete their fixtures this season. Wht hapens tothe league table then? Do all the points gained against the blue few get wiped out?
  7. If they have a small squad at the moment. If (when) they sell a load of players, and they can't bring any in (due to the embargo), is there a possibility that they won't actually have enough players for the bench, or even to fulfil their fixtures? What happens then? Do they have a youth team?
  8. That is priceless - 10/10.
  9. I bet they've been rushed off their feet just lately. I'll get me coat.
  10. Good point well made. I was busy laughing I forgot myself.
  11. The skates last home game is Saturday, 1 May 2010, v Wolves. Anyone else tempted to join the party atmosphere??? ;-))

  13. Does anyone know the link to the map which shows the number of the stands? I can't see it on the OS anymore Thanks.
  14. Interesting that most of the players signed are in their prime - mid twenty's (ish). Good sign for the future.
  15. Tallinn is quality, just don't take the Mrs.
  16. It is frustrating ATM, but (IMHO), AP has 3 transfer windows to get things right. In this window he's strengthened the spine of the team. Hopefully, he'll continue to do the same at Christmas. When he's established a solid base for the team, next summer he can add the "icing on the cake" by adding a bit of flare and pace in the form of a couple of good wingers. First things first for me, and I thought I could start to see some signs of progress this afternoon. Get the team playing well, and results will take care of themselves.

Spot on. Living and working with the Blue Few (plus a number of JCL's), they seems to be under the impression that some white knight will just ride in to replace the Fake Shiek and save them at the 11th hours. No, no, and again, no. It's not going to happen. I'm having to restrain myself, although it's getting more and more difficult not to grin when I make eye contact with one of the fish fiddlers.
  18. Good, solid appointment. Given a bit a mney to spend, he will get us out of this league.
  19. Sorry, I'm a bit ****ed (just back from the rose Bowl.). What i MEANT TO SAY WAS.... Everyone's frustrated, and but in the great scheme of things, an extra few day's is neither here nor there. Thank you.
  20. Spot on! Everyone's frustrated, and but the great scheme of things, an extra few day's in neither here nor there.
  21. For goodness' sake, have some patients people! It's not just about the 10 points, it's about the extra 15 points we could be deducted for not having a CVA. I trust MLT and Pinnacle, and if things take a few days longer than we'd all like, then so be it!
  22. But (at the risk of going round in circles), Southampton Football Club are not in administration. It's just a change in the ownership of SFC from SLH to (NewCoSaints). NewCoSaints ane not buying the assetts of the football club, they're buying the whole club. If that's the case, than I can't see the comparson. (???)
  23. Exactly. IF the FL have made a c*ck-up, the only way to learn lessons is to bring the matter into the open and move on. What they're trying to do is sweep everything under the carpet. This is poor leadership and management. Shame on them.
  24. What I genuinely don't understand in all this is that the league, being a members organisation, should be bending over backwards to ensure one of it's members does not go out of business. In fact, they seem to be doing the complete opposite by deliberatley putting barriers in the way of a successful outcome. Why? By allowing an appeal, and whtever the result of the appeal, everything would be clear and above board, and neither side would have any complaints. By taking the course of action they have, they appear embarrased at best, and dishonest at worst. I just don't understand it.
  25. I understand what you're saying, but let me draw a picture: You are the referee for the 3rd Round of the FA Cup; Man Utd v Bury. Man Utd are all over them for 89 minutes, but miss chance after chance. Bury cling on by the skin of their teeth. 90th minute, Bury break away, and their striker is fouled in the penalty area. Morally, Man Utd deserve to win the game. According to the rules, Bury should have a penalty. Do you award the penalty? Of course you do - because that's what the rules say. Same principal applies to Saints and the FL. Saints have obayed the rules, as the FC is not in administration, so the -10 should not apply. Simple as.
