It's quite comical watching PST board member Mike 'Riddle' Saunders digging himself into a bigger & bigger hole over on FOL. Openness, transparency, honesty. http://fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=581453

Would be a pity if it was merely about shady 'loans' for the boys and not a PST decision to allow their shareholding to be further diluted through the acceptance of more external investment..
-
Had the offer of a lift back last night (normally get the train home) - must've taken us nearly half an hour to get from Yau Brothers supermarket to the Prince of Wales on Northam Road. Never again..

The biggest lesson has probably been not to allow the CEO to get involved in (or indeed to take over) player acquisitions. That's something best left to Reed, his team and the Black Box.

Netley Abbey - his family still live there.

Good article, and another demonstration of just how professional the entire setup is. The pitch lights aren't cheap, though - I make that about a grand a day to run all 6 rigs.

Extract from the PL Handbook.

Nothing contentious is allowed to be replayed, though - I think that's down to Premier League rules.
-
I'd heard the same - from someone at the club, around the time that JR's agent was supposedly visiting SMS.

That the process of landlocking their dilipidated relic of a stadium is under way.

Nope, not yet.. And still not published. Utter amateurism. http://www.pompeytrust.com/minutes

Bournemouth to get Jed Wallace on the cheap, perhaps ?

If, as suspected, the cash for not objecting during the planning process has already been handed over, then let's hope the Tesco build does go ahead and effectively landlocks their dilipidated little carbuncle for good. Have to feel a little for the local shopkeepers for whom such a development would likely spell the end of their businesses, though.

Keep him locked up in the Black Box, and don't let him out until Levy's moved on..
-
The original negotiated amount (pre re-negotiation) was about £145k, or £3.6k per month on tick.

First away game for me this season (the shame), and just managed to secure 2 tickets using the online facility.. Good value at £26 each..
-
If that were to happen (which I have to doesn't look that likely), I wonder how another tenant's idea of how much cash it was worth to 'encourage' PCFC not to object to the development would differ from the amount agreed upon between Robinson, PCFC & Tesco.

What a cracking story - sounds like you both had a great day ! Thanks for sharing your experience with us, and full marks to Pelle and the club for making it happen.

Biggest cruise ship in the world pulls in to Southampton
Gruffalo replied to Batman's topic in The Lounge
Three or four years ago, they reckoned the combined revenue (on-shore spending, ship restocking, hotels, etc) was worth about £1 million to the city each time a cruise ship docked. -
Will be very interesting to see if building work really does get underway on November 1, as claimed last month.

Many questioned why the final tranche of parachute payments wasn't used to settle their creditors there and then. I think the answer has been revealed.
-
They have been countering discontent from 'shareholders' unaware of the drop by pointing out that any major decisions require a 75% majority vote and, virtue of the fact that some of the LNWs are supporters, then the PST's crucial percentage for a controlling stake is actually 26%, not 51%.. po**ey logic..
-
That all of their legacy debts have been settled way ahead of schedule, apparently..
-
Brilliant, I'd forgotten about that - and now the Mrs thinks I'm mad, sitting here with the laptop absolutely crying with laughter.

Good to see Agent Connolly standing firm in spite of [what looks like] bully-boy tactics from the club, along with snidey rabble-rousing by Factless and his cronies. Hang on in there, Dave - only 8 more months until your contract runs out.. http://tinyurl.com/m59a9hz
