  1. Stand down boys, Courtney Love has got this... http://metro.co.uk/2014/03/17/courtney-love-thinks-shes-found-malaysian-plane-and-posts-images-to-facebook-as-proof-4626547/?ITO=facebook
  2. Rasiak @ £2m whilst in the Champ - I don't really consider that a 'low fee' to be honest.
  3. You can tell the miserable ones (sorry Alps, but you are pretty miserable). I still lol at getting called Happy (as an insult) on here. I'm known to most as a miserable git.
  4. Sorry WG - it was a very tongue-in-cheek post. I was very much teasing. FWIW I like the possession approach. I always enjoyed watching Spain/Barca passing teams to death, chasing the ball for 90 mins until they are practically out on their feet. You could see Arsenal players completely out on their feet last week against Bayern - that was due to that approach. Obviously, we are not that good at it, not even close - that is not what I am claiming. But I do enjoy that style of play. That's not to say it is perfect, or isn't with out it's drawbacks, but there are positives to it as well. It's like any tactic/approach really they all have upsides and flaws. Personally, I am very happy with this philosophy, including the possession approach, and the playing it out from the back. Yes, it is at times dangerous, but I really enjoy watching us boss games, controlling the ball for 70% of the game.
  5. I've said many times on here - 3 officials (the 4th official can't really make any on-pitch decisions) for a pitch the size of a football match and 22 players just isn't enough. Look at Tennis ffs. They need more help. They cannot be expected to be everywhere, and see everything on such a massive pitch - especially as the pace of the game increases so much.
  6. Ok, fair enough. I guess I can see where you are coming from. As I said, the flight simulator in isolation does little to ring any alarm bells for me. As with all the other analogies I outlined along side this (which includes myself). It still seems a leap, but as I said, given the little info available anything is speculation. No, certainly not the most outlandish theory (I havn't been through every post on this thread), but one for now I will, respectfully, disagree with.
  7. They should just GET IT FORRRRRWWWWWAAAAAAARRRRRDDDDD!!!!!!!!!! :x
  8. A whole Beatles album, apparently http://www.thelineofbestfit.com/news/latest-news/flaming-lips-working-on-sgt-peppers-covers-album-with-miley-cyrus-tame-impala-mgmt-more-148493
  9. Why is it any weirder than any of the other things I have highlighted above? Granted there is little more anyone can do than speculate, given the lack of info - but what you are suggesting is pretty wild speculation. Personally, at the moment I don't see it (in isolation) being a big issue. As I said, perhaps the guy is really passionate about flying. Wouldn't be the only person to have a passion for what they do now, would they?
  10. If that is found to be the case, yeah fair enough that would of course be more suspicious. At the moment, I'm not aware of this being the case however.
  11. Great minds, eh mate?
  12. Just remembered the model train set a friends dad had when I was a kid. It was amazing(/pretty sad). Guess what he did for a living...
  13. Damn you stealing my analogies pap!!
  14. Where is the line though? I work with video games, yet in my spare time I still play them and attempt (failing miserably) to make them too. Footballers play football all day then go home and play Fifa. I'm sure there are plenty of bus drivers/f1 drivers that spend their own time driving/tinkering with cars - mechanics too. I don't know, to me it just doesn't initially strike me as that odd. As I've said I don't know all the ins and outs of this case - so if there is something else to add to the suspicion of this pilot, then fair enough - but I don't see why that alone is such a huge deal. Maybe he just really loves flying?
  15. Should be said, I haven't followed this that closely, so there is a good chance I am missing something.
  16. I'm clearly missing something, why is it suspicious that a pilot has a flight simulator? I don't see why that necessarily makes him a suspect in a potential mass murder. Granted, I don't know how common it is for a pilot to have one, but it doesn't exactly scream strange to me. Forgive me if I'm wrong.
  17. I'd love to be mates with Barry. He sounds so much fun.
  18. Bring back Caribou!
  19. Were the rio jibes not more to do with it being days away from the tube strikes? I'm not so sure it would have been such a big deal otherwise.
  20. Reading this thread, can't help but think of this quote “Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.”
  21. I'd really like to play - but I don't know any of the bands (?) you mentioned
  22. Neglected this of late. Phoenix were really great fun. Sound fantastic live. Saw Drenge at the Scala - another really fun gig. Havn't seen a crowd that raucous for a while/nor gotten involved like that since I was about 17. Took the gf to see Chvrches, was quite fun. She has a really good voice, and is intangibly alluring. Off to see Franz Ferdinand at the Roundhouse tomorrow, very excited for that one. Gigs are coming thick and fast at the moment
