That really isn't that bad, well the stats for nice ahead at least. Would have expected worse. I imagine this is another one of those things that all football fans say, akin to "we always do things the hard way" etc.

Agree with both of this, very good posts. We have a young squad and a relatively young manager. We all knew Osvaldo was a risk. Clearly an immensely talented player, but obviously has some issues. I can see why MP took the chance on him, as they had had a productive spell working together previously, which resulted in a big move for Osvaldo. He was actually pretty productive at Roma, for all his indiscretions. A player of his talent probably wouldn't have come to Saints if: A) MP wasn't here. B) He didn't come with his issues. I like MP, I like his style and his dedication to it. Yes, sometimes it comes undone, but all teams lose at times - what do people really expect? I honestly do not think there is a better option out there for us right now. With the facilities and youth set up we have, having a manager brave enough to utilise that talent is ideal. I loved that against Arsenal, with Rickie out he put faith in Gallagher. A lot of managers would not have done that. And just to be a complete clapper, I even like he speaks in Spanish - just because it seems to annoy people. He clearly gets his point across to the players, so what if he doesn't speak to the press? Bad results happen, and yes, they are of course disappointing. Losing from 2-0 up feels crap. But disappointing results in an otherwise good season, in which our style, set up, players and staff have been lauded doesn't make the manager poor. Making judgements based on isolated bad results/performances is silly. It's heart over head, which is never wise. The grass ain't always greener.

I'm generally agree, and think most fans will. This board isn't representative. The ones that moan about every loss ever are the same ones that tell us constantly that all the layers are crap, and that ther is no chance of us ever being any higher.

Said on another thread I like the single coloured crest. I'm also not hugely fussed either way on stripes. This years kit has actually grown on me.

It must be great to get to do this sort of thing. I've been lucky enough to be involved in a few things similar through work, and volunteering and the reaction in the kids is just amazing. So I can only imagine what impact a group of footballers doing this sort of thing would have. Yes, it is very easy of them to do - but if my very limited experience is anything to go by the impact it will have on the kids is amazing. Good on 'em.

Or any story where a player/manager is asked if they would like to join 'big club x', which is subsequently translated as "Player x seeks move to Big club y". Kind of strikes me as "well duhh".
