Ufff, she's great bless her. But, the girlfriends ability to make absolutely everything, even the most simple or menial of tasks and absolute chore drives me absolutely barmy. Everything takes about 26 hours longer than it needs to. Also, her inability to understand that I border on being deaf - so even after years of repeating 95% of the things she has ever said to me, she still mumbles and gets wound up at my 'not listening'.

If we are dreaming. Good chance of Cech being on the move this summer. Past his best, but still better than Boruc and Davis/Gazza.

Lallana. Another alpine classic.

What about The Almighty Lizard Overlord?

They're clearly trying to be fair. As in all cases like this where demand outstrips supply, people will miss out. Those who miss out will always think it is unfair. Whatever the club did, people would miss out, and it would be called unfair. HTH.

If Poch goes we should go for him
KelvinsRightGlove replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Muppet Show
I thought we should all stop being deluded and know our place. You regularly tell us why no-one will ever want to come to Saints. But yes, let's go after the manager of a team fighting for a treble of La Liga, spanish Cup & Champions League. Anyway, I thought you were going to be our next manager, you know bet than Poch right? -
Pretending I'm a teenager and spending the entire afternoon listening to Weezer. Good times.

Don't kid yourself, just because you didn't hit the quote button that is still exactly what you were doing. -

Well he is young, hungry and therefore guaranteed to improve. With our facilities, and staff set up we are the best place outside the CL clubs for a young chairman to be. Give him a few years with the development staff, then send him out on loan to a Championship/L1 club for experience. He could be the chairman to take us to the next level. Etc etc and other such hilarities.

This is why I don't buy the whole you can never be a great player unless you do it at the World Cup argument. What if Messi, Ronaldo (either one), Pele, Maradona, George Best etc were from Kazakhstan or the Faroe Islands, are they therefore lesser players as they are unlikely to ever get to an international tournament, let alone star in or win one? Great players should be judged on what they do on the pitch, not the accident of which arbitrarily sectioned off piece of land they happened to pop out into.

That's so gonna be my next log in. I'm gonna be a troll troll.

The top 5 pretty much is half the team, isnt it? -

If '06 is right, surely it could be extended back to '05? -
Christ, Alpine has a better outlook than me for the next few games. I agree that Everton is the only one I see a definite defeat (they are a good team). Rest could go either way, I'd probably say 6/7 points, possibly more, possibly less.

I'm sorry bear, I'm just hurting really.

CONFIRMED: Rodriguez ruptures ACL - out for SIX months

I've been critical of Welbeck in the past, but I do reckon he would do well in our set up. Absolutely gutted for Jay. Hope for a speedy recovery. And to think, the experts here were telling us he was a failed signing, and not worth half what we paid for him this time last year. -

Don't be so facetious Paps, you know what I mean. I'm not saying no-one whatsoever would be interested in both, but the overlap is pretty small. Sonisphere is not going to lose droves of potential customers over one act being at Glasto. If Sonisphere has already announced Metallica, the people that may have gone there have had ample opportunity to buy tickets for it, whilst as I said, Glasto is sold out. -
Agree with this. I've said repeatedly here and over beer that refs need a lot more help. 3 officials to 22 players on the pitch the size of that at the eithad is ridiculous and outdated, especially when you consider how quick the game is now. To think referees won't get decisions wrong is daft. It further undermines the whole 'respect' campaign, which Im not sure if is actually still ongoing or not to be honest. How can you be respectful of people that make such glaring errors, and are then not held accountable for them. Poor decisions change games, and therefore affect results. Managers jobs hinge on results. Yet, referees cannot comment on glaring errors by officials, and they are just brushed under the carpet and people are expected to shrug their shoulders and get on with it. I do not blame officials, I think they try their best to do a very hard job, but quite simply, they need more help. I forget which game it was this weekend, but there was a goal-line clearance (possibly Villa-Fulham?) that the naked eye in real time would never have been able to detect. You could see the ref allow play to continue whilst looking at his watch, which tells him whether or not the ball is in or not. And the game continues, if it had been a goal, he simply blows up and awards the goal. The 'slowing the game down' nonsense argument was used against GLT as well. Referees are not respected as people do not have faith in the to get decisions correct. More officials are needed (I've suggested several times adding two more linesman/assistant referees), and technology should be embraced. It's bizarre that the sport with one of largest amounts of money involved, and riding on it for clubs, is one of the least willing to embrace technology. If players, mangers, fans etc have faith that officials are going to get decisions right, they will be much more likely to be respected.

Really? There isn't a huge overlap, is there? If it was Download & Sonisphere, maybe. Anyway, it's not like you can go oh actually I'm going to go Glasto instead now. It's sold out! yes, I know there is a re-sale, but it is nigh on impossible to get tickets through that. Really can't see how Sonisphere's ticket sales would be hit by a Glasto announcement -

I don't really understand how that would work? I mean, they may have had a exclusivity agreement, but that would relate to them not playing any other European/British etc Festival. Would seem odd that if that wasn't in place that they then could even announce other festivals shows if they are allowed to play them. "Right Metallica, you are playing our festival. You are welcome to play other UK festivals, just as long as you don't tell anyone about it?" I dunno, seems odd. Would be a bit underwhelmed with a Headline Trio of Arcade Fire, Metallica & Kasabian to be honest.
