  1. Better from you Papster. Quality statement from Reed. Feel better about the coming months now.
  2. Good Manager, good squad, plenty of homegrown talent and some really good football on show. 5 years of constant progress. Very happy indeed. 8/10. Couple of good signings, and a cup run and I'd be thrilled.
  3. Hmmm... http://www.nme.com/news/oasis/76908?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=oasis
  4. I've been critical of Welbeck before, but have come round to the idea that he could be very good at the right team. He clearly needs a solid run of games actually playing up front. I agree, I think he'd be a good fit for us. Would love us to make a real move for him. Not sure about Kane, haven't seen enough to have a fully formed opinion, but has been ok whenever I have seen him.
  5. I was reluctant at first, but the love was pretty instantaneous. They gave me a pro, and it was just great. I only played a few games on there, and had no problems with any of them - though appreciate there may be trouble with some games. I guess the android thing could be annoying, though work provide me a phone and tablets which are both apple - so the syncing was pretty good (I know, I'm weak, I'm easily bought with shiny things). Also, I'm aware I referred to my mac as my work PC, FFS KRG
  6. And also moan when the expensive shiny new signing foreigner is then being played in place of their favourite english player, that should never have been replaced from the first team. My head hurts.
  7. I know, I know. I swore I'd never be one of those guys, but it was actually my work PC (they were super pleased that that and the iPad they got me were taken). Does that make it less bad? That said, I still bloody loved it. ...plus we all know I'm a twàt anyway. I don't see the point in cheating. It's just pointless, where is the challenge? This wasn't intentional.
  8. I will forever remember undousuru, thanks to her.
  9. The Jackals or something like that? Recruited through social media. I just despair at what they have become.
  10. It's not New York, and it's not really brutality. But it is police, and it is quite funny... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5V1vSuEMMo
  11. So, looks like The Libertines are getting back together again. Pete seemed to let slip a few days ago, now this has just been posted to the British Summer Time (Series of gigs in Hyde Park) Facebook Page I know I've been critical of Pete (& Carl) before, but I'm pretty torn on this. I do love The Libs, but, I can't help feel this is a bit of a cash grab. It's been a while, and they both probably need some drug money. If Pete has stooped to selling discarded fags butts, it's hard to see this being anything else. The last reunion was good, but I just worry that this one may not be so great. Hyde Park isn't exactly the greatest venue ever as it is.
  12. Haha amazing. "Falling over the start line" another pearler there. I swear this was like a day or so before we signed Lovren? Does look like we are falling over the finish line a bit though. Thing is, we'll have another thread almost exactly the same this year. He never learns.
  13. Saw this earlier on. What a bunch of muppets, did they really not see this coming?
  14. You may well be right, and I wouldn't be surprised if he did go. It's still worth remembering that papers have him definitely sold In pretty much every window since before he broke into the team. He'll most likely go at some stage, and it'll be a big loss. It may well be this summer, I'm still not convinced it is a dead cert yet though, IMO of course.
  15. Has anyone said he did a good job this year Pap? Does a bad ten months render an eleven year spell most people with brain cells regard as a success irrelevant?
  16. Haha that's brilliant. Love the Russian bloke. The disclaimer is great too. "*DISCLAIMER: Just like Manchester United's 2013/14 season, this video is just a joke "
  17. How about offering up some evidence to suggest he is a bad manager? You've so far pointed out that we all have our opinions, and used the evidence of a blog calling for his head - after 9 years in charge. About as damning evidence as Glasgow or Barry starting a thread on here calling for MP's head.
  18. I'm sorry Batman, and I'm sure I could be made to look stupid if someone trawled through my history, but that is pretty funny.
  19. My word kid, keep digging eh?
  20. How is this their best season? They finished 5th (their current position) twice under Moyes, and 4th as well. They are in the ball park where Moyes kept them for most of his tenure. Granted, they are doing it playing better football.
  21. Also, no mention of what they have received. I'd imagine in most transfer windows Moyes net spend was negative. He had to sell, to buy. Often, the players sold were at a huge profit too.
  22. Nope, Martinez is a superb manager. Taking a team regularly finishing 5th-8th and making them finish, 5th. For the record I do actually think Martinez is doing a good job, and is indeed a good manager.
  23. In probably the least surprising turn of events, ever... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27126522
  24. I never claimed he was a proponent of free-flowing attractive football. He got results. I also never said he had the support of all fans. This is not evidence he is a bad manager, these are opinions of some fans - not all. Look on here, some dislike MP and his style. Utterly ridiculous, if you ask me, but they still exist. Is it not a sign of a good job that after 11 years, a manager was able to come in and carry on the good work? It shows no major rebuild was needed. If Moyes was so poor, why is Martinez being so highly praised for getting Everton to finish a likely 5th, when Moyes did that twice, got a 4th place finish once and the majority of his other seasons finished 6th-8th. Awful. No one is saying he did a good job at utd, he clearly didn't and he deserved to be sacked. If a bad 10 month spell is more of an indicator of someones abilities that an 11 year spell, then yes he is terrible. Probably not a top or great manager. But to say he is awful is just plain wrong. He did a very good job at Everton. Some fans were fed up as they felt he had plateaued, but considering he had his hands tied by funding, he was never likely to be banging the door down for top 4 on a regular basis anyway.
