Yeah, despite my initial misgivings, I was very easily swayed by a mate. I'll be there - not a huge fan of most of the line up. I like The Rifles, Swim Deep & Wolf Alice. The rest are pretty meh, and The Twang are one of the worst bands I have ever seen live (Sorry tokes - they were really bad). Oh well, hope for a nice day, plenty of beer and getting lairy in the park.

Yes, these are your only choices.

I'd love this. Still never seen Foo's. What do we think of this chaps? As I've said before, not a huge fan of them. Can't really make what to think of this, might be fun for a boogie whilst off your nut I spose: -
I thought Pards had a clause in his contract whereby if he was sacked he didn't get a pay off of the full contract? Something like 1/2 years (which I'm sure is still a very nice pay day). I imagine IF Poch has been offered 7 years, there would be something similar in there too. He would probably want some kind of get out for if a 'big club' comes in as well.

Who would they get in to do any better than him? cant be the most attractive role to take on. Obviously they have potential to be a massive club, but whilst Ashley is in charge you are basically tying your arms behind your back. cant imagne there would be a massive queue of top managers wanting to go in, have little (relatively) to spend, knowing any player that performs will be sold for any decent offer and there is bound to some sort of self-inflicted destabilisation from above. cant see Ashley paying Pardew off either to be honest, even if it isn't his whole contract that would need paying.

Nothing about the guys personally, they just aren't really my kind of band. I don't really like that 'lad rock' thing. I saw them as a support act once, I don't know if they had sound issues, or just an off day - I just wasn't really impressed. That said, Wide Awake is a tune. -

Wow. Glad I hadn't made comment on them, I shall keep my views on them to myself in that case. -

I still can't decide whether to get them or not tokes. Which band is your mate in, out of interest? -

Interesting thought. Could work should we get in a good striker in the window. Problem is, when all are fit, who from J-Rod, Lallana & Davis gets dropped? Good problem to have mind, much like the Cork, Morgan & Big Vic scenario.

Baines is better than Shaw is right now.

Decent half. Rickie, Gallagher and both FBs having good games.

Not going to claim any great affinity with the bloke, but it is mad. Barca manager to, well... In less than a year. 45 is nothing, poor guy, thoughts with his family. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27159955

I'm not sure I 100% agree on this. The Shearer thing, yeah maybe, but Saints are regularly mentioned when Bale, Walcott & Ox are discussed.

Imagine if it was Libertines playing right before Oasis. It would either be epic, or a car crash, can't see there being a great deal of middle ground there. Also, that is going to be a pretty larey crowd down there I imagine. Dunno if I see that happening really, I'm just musing. -
I remember a conversation I had with someone on here (sadly, I can't remember who it was) that was telling us about this time last season when Morgan had recently signed a new deal that this was him strengthening his hand for a move away. Now, if this contract was to include a very low buy out clause, I may have been inclined to agree. But there was little to suggest that was the case, and given the season he was having last year, it would have been utter madness. I agree, nothing stops the media speculation. And players contracts, and time remaining will affect fans opinion most likely based on their disposition. Some will see it has strengthening the clubs hand, others the players. d Basically, you're never going to keep everyone happy.
