in contrast, isn't it refreshing to hear exactly what he thinks rather than lots of nonsense. McCormack certainly wont do it again

his odds have shortened massively in the last few days!! -
lambert wont be here in January - Fact He wasnt even in the squad that travelled to west ham on saturday. After being told he'd been dropped, he was in north baddesley at in the morning planning on going out for the day with his missus and the kids when the call came through and they sent a car for him I believe. Hate to see it because it's been brilliant watching him over the last 3 years but if we get a good fee in january for someone who is 31 next year it makes good business sense rather than wait til he's 33 and then he has no sell on value which is NC's on going policy. Hope we invest the money in some defenders!!

city we could've got a draw, man u draw minimum! Should have brought on danny seabourne to protect the defence or man mark scholes or van persie not bring on 3 strikers, one who we signed the day before?!!? Arsenal agree, everton, shambolic defending for 12 minutes, Fulham we were in total control until he made 3 changes and we then conceded. We were lucky to get a draw after that. also, why take off punch? He did it against Villa as well? total mystery! We supporters can usually get the subs right 90% of the time. With Adkins, I never know what he's going to do and then when he does it, I'm baffled!! I hope he knows what he's doing but the results say otherwise

I agree with you other than to say our long term plan wont work in the championship and 1 win in 7 and -8 goal difference frightens the hell out of me. If we were playing well and losing on the basis of being outplayed and out classed then fair enough, but we are not. We only lost those games because we made tactical changes which left every fan watching scratching their head. I really do want Nigel to succeed but Cortese absolutely will not allow us to go down and come back stronger. There will unfortunately be a point where it wont be tolerated any more

If it was your multimillion pound business that Nigel was in charge of and he'd made some cataclysmic errors that were there for all to see resulting in 1 point from 4 games that we were winning, what would you do if you were Nicola? Get someone to steady the ship with the ability, competence and experience to take us forward? or stick with Nigel and roll the dice also in response to the 3 managers below us and 1 above, M Hughes - borrowed time C Hughton - borrowed time B McDermott - He'll be fine P Lambert - borrowed time

The Peter Principle is a belief that, in an organization where promotion is based on achievement, success, and merit, that organization's members will eventually be promoted beyond their level of ability. The principle is commonly phrased, "employees tend to rise to their level of incompetence." Or in Nigels case, he was competent in League 1 and the Championship but now finds himself totally out of his depth without the competence to take us forward. Solution: One way that organizations can avoid this effect is by having an "up or out" policy that requires termination of an employee who fails to attain a promotion after a certain amount of time. Example: A people manager is able to handle the vast majority of his or her current job responsibilities, but does not reveal the skill set necessary for promotion. The people manager possesses the potential to cause harm within the company, by way of preventing those beneath them with higher potential from moving up, as well as lowering morale once such employees become aware of this fact. After yesterday, I feel we are a rudderless ship! So is Nigel the right man for Southampton to stay in this league or is he woefully out of his depth?

I like Nigel and I think he deserves and has earnt his chance in this league but when you hear a senior club employee shoot his mouth off saying Nigel has 2 games left, you have to wonder. I hope he's wrong. Which 2 games Bearsy? the next 2!!

anything to do with that lot down the road always has me in stitches: when they started a riot in their own town after the match that tw*t getting his bell confiscated their hospitality suite was a portacabin on stilts - thats the funniest thing ive EVER seen!! being called the best fans in the land??? the list goes on and on and on -
great stuff! fair play ads!

Yes 100% With the personnel on the bench, would you have brought on Seabourne to sit infront of the back 4? or man mark RVP? Provide additional 'aerial' cover? or Guly?
-
2-1 up with 10 minutes to go? Hmm, what should I do? Put on 3 strikers and take off our 3 best players.....or should I get Dan Seabourne on to protect the back 4/man mark Van Persie/Scholes and give additional aerial presence and see the game out? Get 3 points or at least 1. That's what Fergie would have done and every other manager in the league What do I know??
-
I'm completely with you on this as mayuka had 2 days training and no understanding of english football and got thrown in the deep end when Tad Lee was a much better option. Wasn't it Guly that Cortese wanted Pardew to play and Pardew brought him on in the 90th minute ultimately costing him his job? If true, NC meddling in team selection is not good news!
